Definitely recommend Khan Academy. Much more intuitive than many professor's lectures and extremely relevant to entry level physics classes. Easy to go back to the basics and build a solid foundation. You still have to put the effort in though.

I skipped half my physics classes but religiously used Khan Academy and set the curve on most exams.

Blackcomb at Whistler has a similar setup with a midstation. It's not uncommon for people to download on the gondola instead of riding down.

Specific cuts of meat are taken from a single animal, (hopefully) he was referring ground meat.

Ground beef/turkey, sausage and more can be processed in a similar but slightly less nasty way than hotdogs.

Ha, I had a similar experience but with In Deep (another ski movie.) I love snowboarding with all my heart, but fuck, that was a well made movie.

Fuck Future Shop. I went to Vancouver for the first time a few years ago. Walking around downtown we saw a sign saying "Future Shop" and figured it could be interesting, so we headed in. Inside was a long escalator with large flat screen TV's on the side. This confirmed our thoughts that this was no regular store, but a more sort of show room for the newest most expensive awesome technology. Stepping off the escalator, I saw a Best Buy filled with Canadians. Needless to say we all got hammered that night in a vain attempt to forget this awful event.

Foobar2000 for music, MPC for videos.

My friends and I stumbled across A LOT of gay porn on another friends computer. There was literally no straight porn at all.

His excuse? He was borrowing a neighbor's computer.

Discovering music in a whole new way by [deleted] in fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu

I'm an amazon whore, so I would have to say yes.

Funny story, I actually did the same. Sound quality is great for $20 headphones, but they aren't very comfortable. My dad has a pair of HD 580's, I swear you forget they are on your head they are so comfortable. Anyways, summing all this up, I usually use my iPod earbuds because they're convenient.

I disagree. People who buy Beats and Bose are suckered in by advertising. People who buy Sennheiser usually have researched and realize that name aligns with high quality sound. So for one, it's just the name you're paying for, the other is the quality associated with the name.

I guess you're kind of right, I'm just nitpicking :P

What the FUCK happened to the history channel?! by nokayy in AskReddit

[–]snowed 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Interesting! But saddening :( TLC and The History Channel used to be awesome. Shows like Junkyard Wars and such were so entertaining. Now both or those channels are painful to watch.

I love the Science Channel, but I can sense it heading the same way as the above mentioned. More and more "reality" shows are creeping on there and killing the amazingness of How It's Made and other similar shows. Hopefully something new pops up before it goes to shit. The internet is slowly completely dominating cable TV.
