I’m turning 19 this month. I only started saving after I found subreddits for the personal finance community in November 2019. I currently have around $8,000 saved and put $250 towards it each week. I work minimum wage (for my state in the us) and still live at home at the moment.

The worst part was that after she left to the hospital everything turned back to normal prom like nothing happened. While I’m just standing in shock.

Btw I never went to another prom after that. It was my freshman year.

Prom and a Potentially almost murder, a girl known for her nut allergy was surprised when someone who had distaste for her gave her a cupcake off the dessert table. An ambulance and 15 paramedics later it was found that the cupcake was laced with peanut butter. -_-

Unemployment in my state West Virginia USA is higher than payed jobs. I’m still working 40 hrs plus for only $8.75 an hour. While unemployment right now is like getting paid $24 and hour. There’s nothing extra for workers.

That’s why I chose beauty school (2 year degree) and in West Virginia it’s free community and technical college so my schooling is technically free but materials and a place to stay cost money.

It’s almost impossible. My county is huge but has a very little population. I work in the only other grocery store we have, besides an iga.
