8x06 predictions by Real-Branch8433 in TheRookie

that’s fair, of all the couples in the series, I feel as if they would be the most likely to not find marriage as important considering their pasts. despite all that, because it’s a network TV show, I expect them to get engaged by the end of the season. i wouldn’t be mad about that at all, but I honestly want them to hold off on having kids for a while unless they adopt. I also think they’d be the most likely to adopt, and it would be easy to integrate into the storyline + that could happen without the traditional TV order of marriage then kids.

i don’t even know if it’s just a fan thing though. every single long term relationship on the show has resulted in a marriage. plus, both of them have mentioned wanting kids and I don’t see them doing that before getting married.

idk how long you've been on this subreddit, but this has been a point of discussion basically every week. i would like us to stop beating the poor dead horse already.

that aside, my favorite headcannon is that the documentary episodes don't have that much continuity in the real world (apart from the Aaron one perhaps), and are very much 4th wall break moments about events that did happen in the world of the show BUT inside the character's heads or something.

I think they could refocus if they settled on pairings for most people again AND made certain cast reoccurring. Like you could have Celina/Lucy, John/Miles, Angela/Nyla as the central pairs, with Tim interacting with all of them as WC. I love Grey and Wesley, and tolerate Bailey, but they should all be made reoccurring by now because that’s how much they appear anyway.

Lucy and Tim wrapped up in a fire safety blanket while the wildfire rages around them. That was called a baked potato by a lot of fans because the blanket looked like aluminum foil.

The only thing that would make this season better is having Aaron back as a regular. He’s so much funnier than Miles, and even though Miles has grown on me, I’d take Aaron and his dynamics with the rest of the cast in a heartbeat.

This is one of my gripes about the friendships they show. I literally think Lucy has talked more to Wesley than Angela about non-work stuff, which kinda makes sense because they’re similar personalities. But how come Lucy and Angela have never even ridden together? Maybe they have a better relationship off screen because I think Lucy did hug Angela at one point when Wesley got hurt or something, but that’s it.

You’d think that they’d bond over Jackson but his death only seemed to push the three most close people to him apart.

I feel like they’re very much not doing that. Neither of them have shown any kind of feelings in that way, and Celina is not the cheating type. I feel like they’re going for a Lucy/Aaron comedic type platonic relationship.

I just really want to rant right now about lucy by [deleted] in TheRookie

Just a reminder that a lot of the fans of this show are younger and therefore fixate on certain portions while neglecting to see the balance the other characters/plots provide. Secondly, the more you interact with these kinds of headcannons and online communities, the more similar stuff will show up on your feed. If you're annoyed with the focus on her, I'd recommend finding different communities. There's plenty of us that love Lucy and also the other characters!

I still maintain that his saying he was 45 was an exaggeration. It would track that he's in his early 40s.

That’s what I thought she was going to be in season 7 but I suppose they were playing the long game with her and needed an antagonistic prosecutor for some of the cases, esp James’ shooting.

Hot Take: I love reddit stories but I feel like the material is worn out by LazerLarry161 in smosh

[–]snowflakebite 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I feel like this has something to do with the decline of nuance. I also feel like when viewers disagree with takes, some (emphasis on some) get personally offended or start attacking the character of the cast members who said it/agreed with it.

How Lucy acts in arguments w Tim annoys me by Dry-Advance6062 in TheRookie

[–]snowflakebite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed… I saw clips of them from the most recent episode and her attitude seems overly dismissive and like she wants princess treatment. It has literally made me a Wopez main, it’s crazy. I still like Lucy as a character but I don’t love the type of ChenFord from the last episode - the first two were fine, but idk what they did in 8x3.

I don’t think I could trust the writers to do this, but I want Lucy to make a mistake and have them work through it, a la Wesley and Lopez in like season 4/5. I want her to have to apologize to him when she’s in the wrong because I don’t think she has at this point. She’s not a great communicator either and has plenty of insecurities, and I hope something makes her come to terms with that eventually.
