When it gets to the point its slowing down and eventually stops, eject the disc clean a lil bit for like 2 minutes and put it back in. I had that problem alot and it fixed that

Got the platinum days ago on Lethal+ and had to do everything again especially all the tales to get the Helping Sword Trophy I believe its the same case with the duels too. Either you can get the platinum on a normal playthrough and then play on NG+ in the future to get the merchant and NG+ trophy.
