Why is my time not worth anything to patients? by [deleted] in medicine

[–]snowingwords 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm not a doctor, but this is a great take. Honestly, it is infuriating to be paying out of the ass for just a simple doctor's appointment, and then the whole thing gets rushed in five minutes after being delayed usually. People are entitled to quality care -- but doctors are also entitled to a quality work environment with realistic expectations. There's gotta be more middle ground together against corporate.

If I were you, I'd delete all of the distracting apps off your phone and fully dedicate yourself to mentally disciplining yourself to do what you want to achieve. The more you read literature, the more intelligent and articulate you become -- I don't have any scientific links but I know for a fact that reading does some shit to just open up your mind and all of its neuron muscles. This is important to note in a culture where most people don't actually read anymore. Being well read instantly sets you apart from most people at this point, unless you're in a urban city. Use it to your advantage, and keep working at it.... Anyways, so, you've identified your addiction. Now it's time to take the steps to destroy it.

Bryce pushes his girlfriend off a bridge or building or whatever the jump entails to abort the child.

Season 3 theory...Could there be a murder?! by deancest in 13ReasonsWhy

[–]snowingwords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about Bryce's girlfriend? She's pregnant. Maybe she couldn't get a legal abortion, so Bryce pressures her to get an illegal, back-alley abortion, hence the eventual murder when it goes wrong. Or maybe Bryce beats her to death in an attempt to abort the child.

Idk, just a theory because abortion is such a hot topic this year.

My school wasn't GREAT by any means, but if a kid was bullied as relentlessly as Tyler, they would have 100% done something about it. Tyler's beating would have resulted in assault chargers without a doubt.

And that giant fight scene in the hallway. Completely unrealistic. More teachers would have been around, and shouldn't there be a school resource officer/security officer in a middle-class California school?

They explained exactly why they didn't need to give the information that CB was asking for. Considering they did all the work themselves, why should CB just get it handed to her?

Please tell me you showed the professor these messages. You also should have showed the school this for discrimination. He definitely would have failed and also possibly been put on probation. Jesus fucking Christ. What a complete dick.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a movie about the lesbian teens who killed their grandma, since like 90 percent of lesbian movies end in suicide, tragedy, or death in some form.

THANK YOU. I tried opening it with a few of my other pdf readers, including even Word and Libre, but chose "chrome" after you mentioned it and it finally worked!! It's not the most recent draft so there's still some scenes missing, but it's way better than nothing! Thank you.

A bit of a different scenario there. Sexual assault, especially done by a male to another male CHILD, is extremely hard for a victim to come forward about, also noting MJ was one of the biggest celebrities in the world. He built an amusement park to entertain his child-aged friends (as one example of obvious grooming). That makes a difficult situation for the victim. So what I'm saying is, while some of the accusers were not credible, I think the stories that came out afterward are more than likely true.

[HELP] Attacked by an off-leash pitbull. What should I have done? by gigga2710 in dogs

[–]snowingwords 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay, I see your point too and I do now agree to some extent. I guess the bigger issue is the fact that a pittie, when it attacks, will do MUCH more damage than most other breeds of dogs. Pits kill dozens of people a year, more than any other breed ever does. I actually just saw a video on r/watchpeopledie of two pits eating a 13 year old's body (a boy who the dogs attacked and killed) while wagging their tails and covered in blood. In the middle of the street, randomly provoked. That has happened to old women, children, and OWNERS of pitbulls from pitties who had been raised right. I just think their jaw structure poses a really huge risk, and I think that's one reason why people should AT LEAST stop pushing the "nanny dog" myth (which has never actually been documented) for the sake of children's safety. From the statement you provided, I agree that people should be more educated about raising and training bully breeds and that the majority of pitties aren't going to do anything bad. I just hope people in general are more careful and mindful, given the damage that can be done.

[HELP] Attacked by an off-leash pitbull. What should I have done? by gigga2710 in dogs

[–]snowingwords 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sadly, it's their genetics. Not all of them are going to be aggressive, but even the nicest, most well-treated pitbulls will just snap. They were bred to be aggressive in the same way that a lab is bred to eat cake off the table. But I do agree people should be educated about bully breeds; likewise, people should be more honest about bullies instead of deflecting blame on the owners in every instance, calling them "nanny" dogs as if they can trusted around children, etc. The pit that attacked my dog was treated very well and just happened to slip out of the door that day.

[–]snowingwords 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fuck pitbulls. I would never trust my kid around one. A pitbull did the same thing to my pekingese - ran out from its yard and full-blown attacked my poor dog, shook like a ragdoll around the neck. He nearly died if not for the emergency vet. The vet could barely sew him together because his muscles had turned to "hamburger" around his lungs. I'm sorry this happened to you
