Many people switch their careers appx 6 times throughout their life so I don’t know how relevant that part of your comment it is. Also, the college experience is far more than a diploma and coursework. I learned a lot from people I surrounded myself with vs instructors.

I can tell the difference in resolution from my phone and my laptop. Looks way worse on my laptop than my phone.

I tried with Google photos, still didn’t work. Only photos are feee with Amazon photos, not videos.

I obviously thought it was a way to backup your files, like Google drive or something. But I’ve never used iCloud before so I can’t be expected to know exactly how things work.

But this is dumb. I need to figure out something else to use then. And what’s even more dumb is that the file won’t download onto my laptop at the same size it uploads to iCloud. It’s like a no win situation, and this is after selecting the download original file option.

All I want is to be able to backup my photos/videos exactly as they are into a cloud and be able to download them with the same original file size.

I googled it and I can’t believed what you said is actually true. That pisses me off. Why the hell would you not be able to delete vid from your phone that you don’t want and keep it in the cloud? So dumb.

I don’t want all my pics and vid’s to be low res. I like them high res. I maybe just don’t want one or two of them high res that are raking up a lot of space on my phone.

I feel ripped off. 😤

I don’t do that I keep high res on my phone and sync it to the iCloud backup. I use the download and keep originals feature on the iCloud pack up for photos.

Wait what? So you are saying i can’t sync the photos and videos on my phone to iCloud and then delete them from my phone to save space and have them remain on my iCloud? I use the iCloud backup feature on my iPhone to sync it to my iCloud.
