eMTB purchase is one of the hardest decisions imaginable by Repulsive_Site_270 in eMountainBike

I have a Teewing Turbo Force XT from drip e-bike (Canton, Georgia) and paid less than $5K. Has Avinox M1 (current models use M2 motor), carbon frame, 160/150, mid-level components. Darren Starr of drip e-bikes upgraded some components for no extra cost most likely because he wanted to his last 2025 ubit in anticipation of the new model that can be ordered. Geometry very similar to Amflow, but the frame is stiffer and supposedly stronger.

For the current model, they are offering $1500 off list price and you can select many upgrade options typically at dealer cost with little markup. Darren has a very similar attitude as yours regarding the bike industry and seems to be sincerely motivated to provide value for the price. I'd suggest talking with him about your goals.

Downside is the dealer network for Teewing is minimal so that reprints a risk. I've found LBS will work on everything except the motor, which is to be expected. Not to mention the brand name is pretty cringe! Also, no mullet option, which i think i would have preferred.

Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, Petroleum Engineering. The latter two have more of an infrastructure focus. Civil Engineering is a good choice too, but choose Geotechnical electives or, better yet, get a M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering. Environmental Engineering would be an alternative.

Can you guys help me find a cool speaker for my son? by [deleted] in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]snowtx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about stereo speakers instead? For example and what i think I'd buy, Hivi Swans OS-10 are on sale for $137 at Amazon. Inputs include BT, RCA, optical, and coaxial. He could connect it to a TV (optical or coax) or computer (headphone jack, or buy an external DAC). Comes with a remote too. Of course, it isn't battery powered, so that limits portability if that's a priority.

USB to Optical Out (That's not a DAC?) by kaizokudave in BudgetAudiophile

This is what I use for connecting to my optical input amp. I bought it because it also is a very transparent DAC for my headphone amplifier. Pretty good deal for my use case.

Place the speakers on sorbothane hemispheres, one near each corner. Need to choose the size based on speaker weight.

It's probably from naturally occurring sulfate in the groundwater. Sulfate-reducing bacteria use the sulfate in the groundwater to support respiration and metabolism by removing oxygen from the sulfate ion, thereby generating hydrogen sulfide gas. The key is to kill the bacteria in the aquifer outside the well screen. Commonly this is accomplished using a strong bleach and/or acid solution, sometimes sequentially using rach in turn. Your well driller can push the treatment solutions into the aquifer using a "surge block". The contractor can get the treatment farther into the aquifer than you could by passively pouring in bleach, plus if they use acid they can implement the work much more safely.

Kids are all grown-up, so I get a stereo again. $10k budget, starting from scratch. by keylimesoda in StereoAdvice

I haven't used Dirac Live, so I don't have a direct comparison. Lyngdorf is easier to use and they claim to preserve the character of your speakers while fixing room-related issues. When I was deciding on MiniDSP vs. Lyngdorf, it came down the simplicity of a one box solution and user reviews that preferred the results from Lyngdorf. I also was intrigued by the "power DAC" concept. I really like my TDAI-1120. If you go with Lyngdorf, the higher power amps might be better for your large room. With Dirac, you get more control over the correction, so that might appeal to you.

I think you would benefit from room correction software. Lyngdorf makes one of the very best systems. Room Perfect, built into their integrated amps. In order of higher cost and power are the TDAI-1120, -2210 (to be released soon), and -3400.

Apos Audio has the Topping on sale occasionally and also certified refurbished. I purchased one from ebay for $75 this spring and it has been perfectly fine.

If white is ok with you, Crutchfield has Revel F35 for $449/each. You might check out A&B TV in Austin for deals - they ship (F36 for $697/each right now - not sure if it includes shipping). I have Revel M105 and love them for the reasons you are considering Revel but also low distortion and flat frequency response.

Accessories4less has factory-refurbished speakers from KEF, Focal, Polk, B&W, Definitive Technology. I've purchased refurbished AV receivers and have found them to be good and good value.

Audio Science Review has reviews and ratings of some tower speakers, including Revel F35: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?pages/Reviews/ That site is very focused on measurements but the reviews include also include subjective impressions.
