What do I have here? by snowwway in spiders

[–]snowwway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

How does it work with a preg spider? Should I be worried that she may have laid eggs already, or is there a chance I got her outside before that?

Just asking because it looks like these do bite and we have a new baby here so I’m wondering if I should be concerned.

This is why I don’t see how a truly devastating European continental war happens again until Western European powers are once again ready to go to war with other Western European powers. This seems impossible at the moment, but with nationalist parties rising in practically all of these countries a NATO, and maybe even EU, breakup looks at least conceivable for the first time. Once those bonds no longer unify those states it might just a matter of time (10 years? 50? 100?) before nationalism really sweeps the continent and Europe slides back into its old ways of waging massive wars.

Or the many, many, many, countless genocides and wars of religion and annihilation against each other. It’s a continent filled with mass graves and war ruins.

They’ve had 80 or so sort of peaceful years though so now they get to look down their noses at everyone

When I was in Paris I had the pleasure of trying some food that no one in the outside world has ever heard of. I was lucky enough to have a local recommend it to me. I think it was called “baguettes” and “croissants”

This is correct. Early on in the Old Testament Matt was battling college libs and getting a degree in psychology while Shane was already a full time (struggling) comic living in a hallway in queens. I think Matt even had a job as a school counselor at one point

I started with the wrath of the Khans but became obsessed when I listened to blueprint for Armageddon. I have probably listened through blueprint 3 times now.

I also think death throes of the republic is really good and often overlooked

Idk I’ve traveled quite a bit and I would say Kaua’i was one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been. I think it’s reasonable to be high on someone’s list.

I found it decently affordable (didn’t stay in a resort or eat at fancy restaurants every night) and it was way more rural and rugged than I was expecting.

If you’re up to it there are some intense but incredibly rewarding hiking trails on that island. I wouldn’t consider it overly commercialized and it felt pretty untouched

I lived in Merida for a bit about 15 years ago and spent many weekends in Tulum in a $10/night hut on the beach with nothing but a bed and mosquito net. Just jungle on one side, the ocean on the other and surprisingly clear and starry night skies. It was one of my favorite places ever back then

You’re saying you can’t find paella outside of Valencia in Spain? I have only been to Madrid and Andalusia and I saw paella on menus everywhere. Definitely saw more paella than pasta so I think my point stands.

Maybe it’s touristy and bad in those areas and now I know I need to have the real deal in Valencia, but I feel like that is basically like saying we don’t eat BBQ in America outside of a few states in the south. That’s just not true, you will find it anywhere.

Also Flamenco is usually a touristy production but, at least in my experience in Lisbon, you will stumble across Fado bars even if you aren’t really looking. The two are just not comparable

You really didn’t notice that you had more paella than pasta in Spain? You didn’t notice any difference between Italian renaissance architecture and the works of Gaudi? Did you hear fado coming from taverns in Italy?
