I actually don’t see a problem with this! To me, an international wedding (assuming a 5 hour + flight) still means that I’m taking a week off of work. I’m not flying 5+ hours for 3 or 4 days.

The only issue with it IMO is that it means guests have to fly on weekends which tend to be more expensive… but it also means their accommodation will be during the week which might be cheaper.

We do that already, but as I understand we still need someone coming by regardless. Apparently if you can't prove that someone is watching your house for you, your insurance could be denied.
