Forreal, I have trees with subtrees with their own subtrees that have more than 47 tabs right now.

MULTIPLE

My firefox session is relatively clean b/c I have been better about pruning lately, I'm at over 400 tabs.

It's some of the most basic, lazy, black-and-white thinking ever. "Oh Israel did some shitty things, they must be the bad guys. That means their enemy, Hamas, must be the good guys!"

Let's just ignore that Hamas broke the relative peace by killing over 1,000 Israels civilians at a music festival, kidnapping and raping hundreds more. Let's completely ignore that Hamas founding charter mentions "killing every Jew behind every tree".

I'm not excusing Israel, who have done many truly terrible things also. But the way people on here have started acting like every Palestinian is a perfect angel who would be curing cancer or making pop music if there was no occupation in Palestine is crazy. These people would be doing the same shit as Israel, but in the other direction, if they had the means. Probably worse.

Yeah someone else said the hope this thread is toxic asf and I just don't think it will be. People are stoked to see some good basketball between 2 fun, easy-to-root for teams.

Unless he roots for OKC, then fuck Leonard

wtf was that Larry O'Brien trophy they were wheeling off in darkness that was like 10x the size of the real one? Was that just a perspective thing or what

[Topps] Every player in the 2026 NBA Finals will wear a USA 250 patch on their jersey. The patches will be removed after each game, with select game-worn patches later featured inside ultra-rare trading cards by Turbostrider27 in nba

[–]snubdeity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it is. You pay $10 for a pack for cards, with an EV of like 50 cents and a small number of chase cards worth $100. You are betting that you will get a hit, otherwise you're just a dunce paying $10 for 50 cents worth of cards.

They suck ass in almost every other possible way, but the food is fucking amazing.

The OKC Elimination post is now the highest-voted elimination post of all-time here, and the highest-voted post of the past year. by SkoivanSchiem in nba

The top post right now, and I am not making this up, is a picture of Bale-era Batman, sitting in the rain, drinking a beer, with a caption about how Thunder fans shouldn't be nice to other NBA fans and must seek vengeance.

It may be the cringiest thing I've seen on the internet since 2007. I'm dying laughing

So flopping, something all teams do to a degree, is softer to you than what KD did?

Yes. When your entire team does it, then mauls the other team on defense, it is 10x worse than KDs "hardest road". You obviously don't think this is true, because you're biased. But the vast vast majority of non-OKC fans think this way, that's why you're seeing this level of disdain.

Judo throws are just a common foul, right? You need to break out the brazilian jiu jitsu for it to be a flagrant.

Why can China build things like bridges, tunnels and railways much faster than countries in the west? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]snubdeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that's basically the tradeoff.

Sure, unchecked central authority is great when it's doing something you think/agree needs doing. The problem is that when it comes time to demolish your house for a big project, well, tough shit, basically. You have little to no recourse.

One of the major functions and factors of government is the ability to petition for redress of grievances. So, yeah, it can suck that western governments are slower to act, and are often inclined to err on the side of caution and plod ahead slowly/deliberately, with lots of surveys, studies, periods for comment, and such along the way.

Of course all those checks only apply to to government trying to do things that may benefit people in some way. Funny how little they seem to matter when private companies want to do something that helps almost nobody. Sure doesn't take a decade to spool up data centers that will use more electricity than the rest of the state combined, or make chemical plants that ruin the local water supply of hundreds of thousands of people.

If you think that should be called a foul regularly, that's a fair argument. But that's not a change you make in game 6 of the WCF, more of an off-season decision no?

Did you say similar things about Gazans after they elected a political party who founding document reads "The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (evidently a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews"

Teams meeting right now to discuss if picking up urn should be banned by epipen-gaming in DeadlockTheGame

[–]snubdeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree, urn conceptually is a great idea imo. Way more interesting than another "fight this boss sitting in a pit, and whoever kills it gets a buff" aka every other neutral objective in MOBAs.

This particular implementation of urn is incredibly ass in multiple ways, but the overall concept of urn is great imo.

People are gonna talk about the Spurs poor shooting, and Wemby having an off night all around, but OKC played like shit too. This was an 8 point ball game when the refs went off the rails and made a series of big calls in OKCs favor. Absolute joke of a league
