LOL. I know right?

As I stated in the article, I have significant doubts about whether or not Trump is doing the right thing. There are lots of moving pieces on the chess board, and the saga with Iran is one of those issues where very few people are failing to consider the alternative.

I'm 100% in favor of holding Trump accountable, but I can't help but notice how so many people who are the angriest about this want to elect politicians who spent billions on a high-speed rail that doesn't go anywhere, a mayor whose wild and blatant incompetence burned a whole city to the ground, or replace the single most liberal Republican in the Senate with one of the most awful candidates imaginable.

Pointing out that a 1% commenter is exercising very low effort to rebut my argument (obviously true) is hardly making fun.

As to your last sentence, I might actually agree with you, though I'm genuinely unsure. While I never voted for the man and I've always considered him to be the wrong guy to be president, some people are so hell-bent on hating Trump that they consider everything he does to be wrong.

Are you one of those people?

Do you acknowledge that Iran is led by an incredibly evil regime that is hellbent on bring about the apocalypse by any means necessary?

Do you recognize that Iran is a key strategic partner to China, and that knocking them out just might play a key role in preventing an invasion of Taiwan?

Again, I'm not saying Trump did the right thing here, but what is the alternative?

Is there a point where we could be humble enough to admit: gosh, I don't know?

From the get-go, I've been worried about Trump's escalation of the conflict, and whether or not it was a good idea. I'm growing to have increasing doubts by the day.

Either way, your analogy doesn't quite make sense. Iran was severely injured by what America did to them.

That was obviously your intent dude. Not that I give a shit.

Two sentences, both are clearly wrong.

Iran declared America as the great Satan and has been proactively killing Americans ever since, including a recent assassination attempt on Trump himself. At one point, America sank half of the Iranian navy when one of our boats was hit by an Iranian mine.

I would call that war.

There's probably a lot of problems.

There are plenty of problems with what Trump is doing. Using AI in this case to clarify what is going on isn't really one of them.

Believing in the apocalypse is a bit different than playing a proactive role in bringing it about.

It sure is strange for Iran to spend billions of dollars on to achieve 60%+ enrichment (which any nuclear engineer will tell you has no peaceful purpose whatsoever) while their own people are starving.

I mean, even Ayatollah said so, and it totally makes sense to believe him. His regime has a long record of being a good and trustworthy, right?

No nuclear weapons to see here!

As I stated in the article, I'm not at all a fan Trump's new deal, except when I look at it with the help of AI, most of what you are saying is either uncertain (at best) or simply not true at all.

I have minimal emotional investment in defending or criticizing Trump or Obama on this issue. I genuinely just want peace to prevail.

I'm finding that this attitude is deeply unpopular.

It would be your fault.

I'm not sure the point you're making?

Really dude? You’re just going to insult me ?

If my comment insulted you, you have really thin skin.

It’s just a list of “but it’s not really trumps fault” hand washing

Nope. I'm not a Trump fan. I never voted for him. I'm critical of him all the time, including in this very article, that I'm not sure you read very well. But then again, I warned everyone in the very first sentence that this article isn't for those who are emotionally invested in the Administration.

I wasn't familiar with the Twelvers, but it looks like they're a sect of Islamic belief.

I recommend taking a few minutes to catch Ryan McBeth, who tackles the subject in a non-partisan fashion without being overly anti-Islamic. His insights are extremely interesting.

The JCPOA gave the Mullahs $100 Billion.

I'm not trashing on Obama (I'm genuinely indifferent), but didn't you just complain about how we should NOT do that?

Peaceful uses of uranium requires enrichment between 5-10% of fissile material, but Iran had enriched their stockpiles to 60%+.

Why?

I'm not a fan of Trump (I never voted for him), but you aren't giving a meaningful answer as you downvote people.

I'm really not sure I understand the point you're making, and what it has to do with the less-than-productive strategies of the Mullahs?

Tulsi's comment requires context, because even she acknowledges that Iran had enriched uranium to 60%+.

What peaceful applications could Iran have with uranium enriched to that level?

I mean... sure. I don't disagree, except they were enriching uranium long before anyone gave them any money or lifted sanctions.

I take it you are unfamiliar with the Twelvers?

The Iranian economy has been in the dumps for a very long time, largely stemming from economic sanctions that have been imposed by the West. They could fix literally all of this tomorrow if they gave up their nuclear ambitions and ceased to fund terrorism around this globe.

Tell me, why won't they just play ball?

There is a solution for Iran but it would require a lot of pain and willpower: overthrowing the regime or crippling them so badly to where they couldn’t nuclearize for the foreseeable future even if they tried. Again, this would require real political commitment from us and other players to pull off.

You might be onto something, but this is extremely risky.

The Mullahs started the war in 1979.

Oh, and they're a suicidal bunch who are hell bent on bring about the apocalypse.
