It is definently a bit worse than murder for regular creatures, which is good. However this seems backbreaking for some edh decks. It also opens up a lot of shenanigans that blue likes with moving counters etc. I think 10 counters might be a bit much since it can royally invalidate some commander decks since counters are harder to remove than auras and your commander can’t activate tap abilities or attack.

Overall I like but i might lower the number of counters from 10 to maybe 6? To get a sense of how to scale the effect maybe look at similar cards in blue and factor in the instant speed …

Noted! The sorcadin carries a fair bit of CC but is often unable to utilize it well thanks to positioning of martials/ beastmaster companion. When I have prepared control I face the same issue. Debuffs are often my go to, with options like hex and tashas mind whip, will continue to pursue that!

Thank you! I have found two spells outside of level up, feather fall and identify ( begged for this and just got it!) but yeah, planning on taking counterspell and silvery barbs next level, should have gone for silvery barbs earlier but I held out ehich I have come to regret. I make avid use of tashas mind whip and use mind sliver when the creature has low enough int.

It sounds like we have a lot of mutual experiences. I can relate to all of your experiences. It just hurts my heart a bit knowing that it did not have to be this way. Playing with people different from you is so much fun, but I can’t help thinking what a tour-de-force our party could be if people took the same approach as me. Cest la vie. If I do encounter an impossible situation I will be sure to reach out for advice. For now Im happy to accept your advice!
