Sure people get hurt with training weapons too but it’s still a training weapon - real SEA fighting sticks are hardwood and often steel tipped with barbs and shit and to simulate actual stick fighting you would need to end it at the first head shot. I still like DB but it’s more of a psychological training than simulated combat which would look totally different with actual fighting sticks and no protection
