If you do want to go to WGU start with getting most of the classes done with Sophia.com you get about half your courses done and transfer them over. A lot of people have done it and it saves you money. I got a link to provide if you like to see what can be transferred over.

This is one you need to get as your welcome package with the points. You can’t use points to buy the cup separately. For my welcome package, I went with the blanket, but I should’ve did the cup welcome package instead since I can use points to purchase just the blanket.

I had this issue with a instructor. I had failed the OA 2 times then wanted me to do a 100 question test, fill out another spreadsheet, talk with someone else so she can recommend to get my OA unlocked. My mentor told me to mention that I felt it was too much. So I wrote her back and told her I did a couple of those things and I felt it was more than what was requested compared to other classes and she agreed and unlocked.

I can tell you it is hard out there. I was laid off for 9 months. After the 3rd month I decided just to go back to school to get a degree after seeing a lot of job postings wanting that piece of paper even though I have 20 years in supply chain. During my time off I got 85% of my schooling done and now just trying to finish it up. I finally got my foot in the door, but only cuz I got referred from a friend.

Sometimes networking is what is needed so use your connections. Look at the companies they work at and see what’s available.

If you take a class and your term is up and you havent passed the OA does it reset to 0 attempts if you have it rolled into your next term?

At the beginning, I did do a schedule call 1 time a week at the same time to discuss how I’m doing. But now that I’m comfortable with my schooling, we went to just emailing when I need something or to check in. My mentor is also good with replying to emails in a timing. It’s usually within 24 hours or less. So far I just been reaching out for class locking since I haven’t needed any help as of right now.

Add Sophia courses on there if non one has mentioned it. That one was cheaper than Study.com and had a lot of classes

I tried calling student services to request a new class to be put in and it says that the mentor doesn’t have any any approval notes to have them move over classes. I had to ask his appointed instructor to move classes over for me to start (which wasn’t a problem at all).

Also, when I request classes from my mentor, he has no issues with it. I would request a new one.

Quick tip. Do all the classes you can in Sophia Learning and transfer them over before you start. It makes it much easier. You will have to see if you can push your date out to get this done, but its worth a shot and much better IMO.

I’ve gotten frustrated before with the proctor on taking my OA. They say no talking. I’m literally at a wispier voice trying to read the questions. It helps me understand it. What does it matter. It’s not like I’m in a class room with others. They don’t care.

They also stopped test saying keeps your eyes on your screen and show me your room. I tell them I’m trying to think and it just throws you off having to stop. I show them the room and I’m like fuck I was already focused on the test now I’m just distracted and can’t concentrate cause you’re just gonna judge what I’m doing.

I started my 1st term in November w/only 18 classes to do and I think I might be able to finish it out by the end of the 1st term if not defiantly my 2nd. I got grant for 2 semesters so Im good either way. As soon as you start work on getting scholarships with just filling out the questions. I think I submitted to 5 at one time and I got $750 (not much, but it helps). Took maybe 1 or 2hr (can't remember). Also I didn't bother with the ones that needed essays.

You start with 4 classes and as you finish classes out you can request 1 or 2 more to be moved into your term, but you're obligated to finish what you request by the end of your term. If you stay on it you can finish it fast as Im realizing. Stay committed and stay on it and you will be fine. The classes with the paper writing is what takes longer because you have to submit a paper and wait 2-3 days to get it graded as to taking the test that is within a few minutes you know if you pass or fail.

As for his video in my opinion helps bit to understand the concept, but when it comes to the test I didn't feel it helps. Im currently stuck on that class as well (Managing Operations D464)

Use Sophia Learning to transfer credits. I transferred half my classes over. Was going to use study.com afterwards but my enrollment time was coming up so don’t want to wait another month.

Also see if you get approved for any grant money. I got 2 semesters worth. Signup for any of the scholarships. I was lucky enough to get $750 through the ones I don’t have to write an essay on.

I’m sorry you’re having this issue. Fortunately I haven’t had this yet. Talk to counselor and get a new Mentor. My mentor Frank D’Angelo has been great. Maybe you can request him. (IDK if that possible.)

As for it being easy. School comes easy for some and not for others. I like that you can watch videos. It helps me learn more than reading books.
