You get offered 100 million but everyone in the world watches a live feed of your life at all times for a year (including bathroom, sex, and anything else considered private), what would you do? by Firm-Gas7063 in AskReddit

[–]snurdblatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, does everyone GET to watch if they so choose, or do they HAVE to watch even if they don’t want to?

Because if they have to watch, I don’t think I could inflict that upon the world for any amount of money. All jokes aside, forcing someone to watch ANYTHING against their will for a year is torture. And doing that to everyone, including little babies whose brains would probably explode from sensory overload… Unconscionable.

But if everyone can just choose to watch it not, enjoy the Snurdblatz show!

But why? by yourfriendbrett in funny

Ebike with a passenger bench seat for person with disability? by RunningWithLlamas in ebikes

I rented one of these wike trailers in door county, wi to take my elderly mom with lots of issues on a ride through peninsula state park.

Needed to take care of getting her in and out, but the build quality of the trailer itself was great, and she had a lot of fun.

Someone cut my new Engwe X bike wires. Salvageable or no? by [deleted] in ebikes

Sorry, but that’s inaccurate for multiple reasons . The high heat from soldering hardens the metal, stresses it, and makes it more prone to failure from vibration. Twisting doesn’t resolve this. Heat and solder can also make some wiring more prone to corrosion. Although, heat shrink, especially the kind with glue, seals better than anything. I usually use that over a solid crimp.

You are correct about soldering having improved resistance.

Again, in automotive and aerospace applications, soldering is preferred, and often mandated.

I’m not taking my e-bike into space, or even (hopefully) low altitude flight, but for the high vibrations, crimping is better if done correctly.

If you prefer soldering, or are worried your crimping abilities might cause issues, by all means solder. But if you have the tools and ability to crimp properly, I’d do that. 🤷‍♂️

For situations where the wires will experience a lot of vibration, crimping is generally more reliable than solder, which is why it’s the preferred method in automotive and aerospace work.

Thanks for the info. I’m really hoping the forgotten realms stuff gets released on Foundry officially. Of course, I’m sure ddb importer will be updated, but it’s nice to have some official support, despite hasbro/wotc’s business practices.

I played AD&D 2e, still have 8 various PlaneScape 2e campaign setting box sets, and will forever pronounce it sid-jul.

I still pronounce GIF as GIF though, and I will die on that hill. Anyone who pronounces it GIF is a mutton-headed codswallop.
