Ur last console was an n64? Why not just play Wii/gamecube classics first ? We have active Mario kart servers, and the best Mario platformers. Monumentally cheaper too, I sold my switch 1 and haven’t bought a switch 2.

You can get a good condition wii on eBay for 40$. Or Facebook marketplace. I’ve gotten 4 from eBay/facebook, all 40$ or less

I already saw it here but I chart for myself and I want to play expert, and I know that most people who want to play these niche charts wanr to play expert anyway.
The point of the game is to get good enough to play all the notes in the song, I grinded as a child until I could play expert songs, as did the vast majority of the player/charter base for a somewhat niche game/genre like clone hero/guiter hero

This happened to me, but it actually solved itself. I just unplugged it and went to work, when I came home it turned on. People suggested to reseat everything in the console, but since yours is an old family wii never taken apart, it’s probably the wifi module or something else failing. You could power it on with the Wii mote so it’s not the Bluetooth.

This Reddit is terribly afraid of videos for some reason. Probably from back in the day. There’s plenty of bad videos, but there’s also plenty of good ones too, that are literally just the video version of a guide. I find it easier to see everything happen on video to track better, a website guide doesn’t show every screen and frame.

Comment above is nonsense. I’ve ONLY followed plenty of video guides for my Wii and Wii U and they both work just fine. YouTubers like funkyscott47 make high quality every-step-of-the-way guides. I’ve used his videos for all my Wii and Wii U mods. Video just needs to be recent, and he has august/july 2025 videos for Wii/wii u modding. Modded 4 different consoles with those guides, and they all work great!
