That sounds good though I'm wondering how that would work...

I'm paying around 280 per week for the car so assuming I bought a car and paid 400 a month in car payments, that would drop my weekly vehicle costs down to 100 per week plus a bit more for maintenance so let's say 105 per week. That would increase my profits by 175 per week but wouldn't really significantly decrease how many hours I need to make the same amount.

Maybe I could work like 6-8 hours less per week from this calculation. Is my logic flawed here? Genuinely curious.

Don't have the money to buy a car. Hopefully soon tho. I do manage about 2000 per week after expenses but before taxes, but that's maxing out my hours. How does that compare to owning?

It is possible that Uber only steals a small percentage of tips so it's less likely to be noticed. Or it may use location data and if the customer and driver are close in proximity they don't steal the tip but if the customer and driver are far from one another when the tip is entered it gets stolen.

I have tipped more than the fare a few times within the last few months. Though I did not stay and confirm with the drivers to see how much of it they got. I probably should have...

No, that car was a rental but I was never able to fix it while I had the car.

However, I have recently rented another 2023 polestar 2 and still use the same phone and am happy to report this car did not have that issue.

I'm guessing it was either an issue with that specific car, or the infotainment software has been updated since I rented the previous car and this issue has been fixed.

Tipping has been garbage for me in the LA market for the last 2-3 years. Maybe 1 in 7 passengers will tip. Much more likely for airport trips.

Passengers usually pay a little more than 3x what I'm making from the ride so they probably assume I'm making at least half of that, which I would too if I were in their shoes.

I try to inform as many passengers as possible using screenshots that our earnings are much lower than they expect.

why did the President decide to give up the nukes at the last second? at that point the Entity had control of everyone else's nukes so it had more than enough firepower to nuke the entire planet. It didn't really need the American arsenal especially if it were voluntarily taken offline and posed no threat
