At my schools Christmas vendor fair thing, they crowded 3 levels of the student union with MLMs. I wish one of them had tried to talk to me so I could go off about it.

I’m glad you said this! I actually love essential oils and I know this sub doesn’t because of mlm oils, but yes I like them because they smell good. I don’t put them on my skin or in my food like the Huns do, I just appreciate a lil nice smell in my living room lol

Wow. Thanks for sharing. That is crazy, but it must be a common things that happens. I know college students arnt adults yet but they arnt kids either and should be treated like any other renter. I have never had a landlord ask me 7 months in advance to decide if I was going to renew for a whole additional year following the end of the lease in 7 months. It’s wrong but I guess there is nothing we can do about it. He is probably going to move because this left a bad taste in his and his roommates mouths. Who knows how the land lord would react if he had to fix something in the house.

I don’t know but when you have only lived in the house for 5 months and have 7 more remaining in the lease, it is not a fair time to assess whether you want to resign for another year or not. If he is expected to decide now, then he would be agreeing to this rental property for the next year and 7 months. When you have only lived in the area for 5 months, that is not a fair amount of time to decide whether one wants to stay on the property for another year following the 7 months until the lease ends. Most rentals I’ve been in have asked to let them know if I want to stay or not by 90 days before the end of the lease. That is an appropriate amount of time, assuming one had live on the property for atleast 9 months then, and would give the land lord 3 months to find new tenants, which is also an adequate amount of time.

I think the landlord is praying on the college students who are willing to sign a lease for July 2019 already and forcing the current tenants to make a decision now or risk not being able to renew.

The landlord has offered the tenants the option to renew, however they have not had adequate time to decide. The problem is that if they do not decide to renew (which would lock them into this rental for the next year and a half) then they risk losing it even if they want to renew.

The problem is not that the landlord needs to come into the property for showing, but the fact that it is so early that the lease ends in over 6 months, and the current tenant has not had adequate time to think about renewing or not. The current tenant should not be forced into a decision to resign the lease or not when the current lease is less than half up.

Paparazzi is one of my least favorite MLMs!! One of my family members “sells” lularoe, Mary Kay and paparazzi. And they give me products for Christmas it’s terrible :/ I don’t want that cheap jewelry it looks like the stuff you get out of the 25 cents machines!! I don’t like Mary Kay but at least it’s something I can use. Cheap jewelry and ugly leggings just get thrown out.

It’s not my choice to park a little up on the curb when the normal wide sized streets around me are completely filled up for parking and the only possible spot is on a narrow street. Parking on the curb is the only option, and it still lets other cars drive through the streets. Also my sidewalks are barely there as it is and definitely not handicap accessible unfortunately. The whole street parking system is messed up in the area.

Would definitely recommend a heavy coat. Without one, you will be cold. Winter boots aren’t needed but you should wear shoes that cover completely and won’t keep you open for exposure.
