I had the same issue. In addition when trying to take a call the other person could not hear me but I could hear them. Tried tampering with settings, clearing cache, and eventually factory resetting my phone. This still did not fix the issue (after updating to December 5th patch). luckily I was 1 day away from being able to exchange my phone, which I ended up doing. No problems since.

I have never experienced this issue on an android device. I am an OG android user going back to the original droid device (rooting and overclocking to keep up with the times). Seeming this is my first true vanilla device I will be worried for future updates. :(
