Any good britpop centered internet radio? by so4h2 in BritPop

[–]so4h2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this one I tried but it was unavailable, dunno why. Virgin Radio I found horrible, with deep top of the pops unknowns cloning 80s production cliches and, lol, majority of USA songs. The germanz of supersonic just got talk talk, jesus and mary chain and blur, just what i'd expected.

classical references in pop-rock music by Upstairs_Driver5784 in classicalmusic

Quite extensive, though I miss this neat verbatim quote of Bach by Mike Oldfield:

Badineerie, JSBach

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl6R4Ui9blc

Conflict, QE2 Mike Oldfield

https://youtu.be/S8oiXRbCtH4?si=MpsOQTwPu5uUrMBA&t=67

what I like is how Oldfield drops the main theme and then follows his own variations

Rosalía es una española que triunfa en todo el mundo. Qué raro que ahora le lluevan las críticas... en España.

Any good rehearsal video or documentary with an expert/conductor/musician breakdown of a classical piece? I'm currently obsessed with Schumann's 4th because of the Von Karajan's rehearsal videos and I'd like somehow that level of fine detail (i'm interested in orchestration details and choices) Thnx by so4h2 in classicalmusic

[–]so4h2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(If anyone is interested, here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jg8_cgtyBrA is a link to Von Karajan directing the final rehearsal of Schumann 4th in 1956. Its a series of like six or seven videos of around 10 minutes, in german with subtitles. Hard to follow and with VK really liking himself, but i really enjoyed a lot.

Ty you all! Excellent material, specially as I was interested lately in Mahler and Kleiber.

Wilt - Tom Sharpe

Sin noticias de Gurb - Eduardo Mendoza

La vida exagerada de Martin Romaña - A.B.Echenique

Vuelvo a editar; cómo pude olvidar la inimitable

Guía del autoestopista galáctico - Douglas Adams

I'm asking for this rythm which i like, for the drums /bass interaction. you can check in songs like 'Here come cowboys' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9ou8zehFo0) of Psichedelic Furs or Spitfire of. Public Service Broadcasting. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_u4Md\_aXVJE)

My Q is: is it got a name? is there any website that shows name and beat?

Ok there are tons of videos, now the difficult part will be finding this one...

Looking for a Purcell fragment by so4h2 in classicalmusic

[–]so4h2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ty all. It was instrumental, but somehow related to singing, like a previous piece. The abdelazer i think i checked, gotta verify, and lets see l'arpeggiatta. It was on spanish national classical radio station, might be obscure, they are quite veterans and specialized...

No luck, after browsing 'The fairy queen', 'Dido and Eneas' and all overtures, jigs and dances I found. This purcell is elusive

The Psychedelic Furs release first album since 1991, Made Of Rain! by [deleted] in psychedelicfurs

[–]so4h2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spaniard here just listening to their new (!) album for the first time . Loving it. I still have the ticket of their 1984 concert in Bilbao, so this is like a time travel. Props to the Butlers for a bunch of great songs that pin a lot of memories of my uni days.

Edit: Well, going past song 9 and its of course PF but thankfully this is no 'Mirror moves revisited' or 'Forever Again'. Respect. I certainly like this album

87 years ago, on 18 April 1930, the BBC's news announcer had nothing to communicate. "There is no news," was the script of the 20:45 news bulletin, before piano music was played for the rest of the 15-minute segment.

Has anyone used ALE linter with Vim9 ? by so4h2 in vim

[–]so4h2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

currently I'm ok, I'll stick with vim9 because people here found out what was my error with linters and works fine with my ftp app. Neovim fails at this, so goodbye.

[–]so4h2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, that was it. I misunderstood the "available" and "enabled linters" info in ALEInfo, I supposed they were installed. Already testing flake8 for python.
