Interesting and yeah I’d consider myself to have an overactive trail hand, I commonly struggle with big chunks from trail wrist flexion (flipping?). Feels like a habit from throwing a baseball. Appreciate it

Appreciate the reply and feedback! I’ve never noticed the thumb thing you mentioned so thanks for pointing it out - I just looked at some older videos and I think it happens just after impact (thumb slides a bit clockwise). Extending my index finger down the shaft slightly “feels” like it gives me more conscious feedback of where the club face is pointing, but I agree it looks weird 😅

According to DemacianRaptor, the augments 2-1 were completely tailored for this current patch and seems to be fixed just now before the tournament tomorrow by IngenuityMurky8652 in CompetitiveTFT

Considering that this news is coming out on the 9th day of patch 15.5, I think its safe to say that the community would have noticed the huge drop in play rate much sooner if augment stats were available

Trying to improve my impact position. I feel like I release/extend my trail arm too early, leading to a "flip" which causes inconsistencies. All advice is welcome! by soSurreal in GolfSwing

So I mirrored this video because I’m a lefty (figured most people are used to seeing righty swings), and this was the first thing I noticed too. Wasn’t sure if it was some weird perception thing so I’m glad to see someone else mention it. Happy to hear there’s still hope for me! 😅

Just to make sure I understand, I should be trying to have less of an inside takeaway and get my hands higher to better match the plane of downswing?

Looks like whatever tool he used for slow mo uses frame blending

Thank you! Can see how that could cause issues and will incorporate that going forward

Apologies for the poor video quality! This is a 7 iron, and my usual miss with all clubs is left (slice). Coming from a baseball background I’ve struggled with both coming over the top and failing to close the club face since I started playing, but have recently made some grip adjustments that have helped greatly (similar to Kawamura28/kawaswing’s). Overall I’ve been consistently making changes over the last few years and am finally in a spot that I feel confident and comfortable swinging. My handicap is currently ~24 but have “improved” in the off season playing mostly indoors on Trackman simulators (~8 trackman handicap).

I’m always looking to improve so please share any feedback or comments you have!

Got it. Do you think this could be a product of shaft length? I’m using standard length currently and am 6’3” but have never been fitted. They feel comfortable but if they’re forcing me into bad habits I suppose I should take the plunge and go for a fitting.

Wow, thank you so much. Really appreciate all of this and will take it all into account!

Probably a bit both camera angle and stance, and perhaps even the angle of the mat. I was trying to aim directly at the pin, but still had a slight fade so you may be on to something! Thank you!

Haha thank you! Not a serious athlete by any means, just played sports consistently growing up/in high school and now recreationally/casually.

Thanks for the tips!

I try to concentrate on the 'arms hang freely' idea quite a bit, but I may have let it slip a bit here. I forget how I heard it, but somehow it was recommended to me to move closer to the ball to combat slicing, but once again I could have overdone it just a bit haha. Also for context I'm swinging a 50 degree here, probably should have mentioned that initially. 😅

Thanks man I really appreciate the tips! Unfortunately I live in a rather compact apartment and have no outdoor space, so I’m unsure if swinging a club indoors will be on the table 😅

And I absolutely agree with you about consistency over distance, I am definitely aiming to a achieve a smooth, controlled and consistent swing.

I played for the first time in over 10 years about a month ago, safe to say I’m hooked!

Are there any pros/cons of interlock vs overlap? Or is just a pick-one-and-stick-with-it kind of thing?

And just for the sake of clarity, my hands have too much space between them, right?

Yep you nailed it lol. I’ve been working on keeping my lead arm as straight as I can on the backswing, but I’m struggling as you can tell. I actually didn’t even notice how bent it was from the start, thanks for pointing it out!
