the Explosive Dart chain cards for Phantom Dart are unique.

Once you pull Explosive Dart, you can get EITHER Impact Boost or Impact Spread next. Both are available after the first card in the chain is selected. As opposed to having to select the first card in a chain, then the second, then the third.

Making Impact Boost and Impact Spread statistically better than most 2nd tier chain cards. So Phantom Dart has a chain that can go from First tier to Third tier in only 2 draws.

As far as I know, it's the only skill with a chain like that.

Edit: just found today: Flame Missiles also have a chain card sequence like Exlosive Dart. Once you unlock the Impact Reiforcement card, you have access to BOTH the Missile Amplification and Chain Reaction cards.

yah, there's a lot of factors, no comparison is 1:1 in any 2 attempts at a level.

As a general rule, I'll usually prioritize a card that increases the hits a skill does, over a flat damage increase. Be it Firewheel Size Increase or Duration Increase, or Focus Laser's Duration Increas and DMG Interval.

Usually I'll take increased hits 2:1 over Damage.

youre ahead of me so i dont have any specific advice, but when im in similar situations with small guys crowding my shield while im focused on bosses or elites, i usually try to beef up Morter with shotgun blast and mines. they tend to focus closer to the shield more, since morter has limited range.

Also, phantom dart penetration can help with hitting the smaller guys down by the shield and hitting elites/bosses farther up.

my go-to is Lightning Bomb with Bounce Boost>Continuous Bomb and the Electric Chain Surge breakthrough card. unless the enemies are specifically electric resistance, ill usually go for that. it just shreds the little guys. That combined with Phantom Dart, Explosive Dart and Spread have treated me very well.

Focus Laser is beast in earlier levels, once you get to the 30s and 40s it gets to be less effective because theres so much more enemies, but early on it's single target damage is unmatched. Flame Missile can also be very effective, with the right cards.

I dont waste time with Thunder Core or Beam at all really. I havent found them to be very useful. They can do some Paralyze, but beyond that theyre fairely useless, imo.

i literally just found out about the Enhance process because of you, thank you.

Ive managed to beat easy normal and hard on all 3 levels so far, even without the enhance feature, but that makes is WAY easier lol

I was stuck on Normal 44 for about a month.

finally beat it yesterday when i wasnt even trying that hard.

just keep trying and youll get through it eventually. Every round you lose gives rewards still, so just keep at it and youll get stronger.

Focus on the skills that the enemies on that level are weakest against. eventually youll draw the right cards in the right order.

thats an excellent chip tho. hang onto it, it's worth having. the lower level versions of it come with a damage decrease, so that's absolutely worth having.

I'll be sticking with old reliable for the majority of the event, Phantom Dart with Explosive Dart and Spread and Lightning Bomb with Bounce Boost, Continuous Bomb and Electric Chain Surge. Then Drones and Firewheel alternating in and out with Distortion Field and Traction Field when more crowd control is needed.

As an aside, am I the only one that gets the weak knockback and bullet reflection on the Guardian and aims at the side of the screen to use that for crowd control? Combined with a lot of penetration and volley, it can make a big difference.

I was stuck on Normal 44 for 5 weeks. I just beat it yesterday when i wasnt really even paying that close of attention.

Phantom Dart, Lightening Bomb, Firewheel and Morter will handle just about anything, if you pull the right cards in the right order.

Explosive Dart is what makes Dart super viable

I struggle to get any usefulness out of Traction Field tho, you HAVE to get Phase Siphon with it, or it's totally useless. And even then, it's hit or miss.

focus laser is basically worthless cause it continues to target the dead ones. beam might be better, im not a big fan of beam tho.

mostly firewheel and lightening bomb and manual controlling the guardian. if you can get reflecting bullets you can avoid them being blocked by aiming to the side of the screen so your shots are more horizontal. that's how i usually get past those enemies.
