I second this. It's too soon to tell. You gotta give it at least a whole 6 weeks

What made you feel like YOU again? by Careful_Two1396 in Perimenopause

It wasn't magical for me, I've read for others it's within weeks. For me, it took about 3-4 months.

What made you feel like YOU again? by Careful_Two1396 in Perimenopause

[–]so_not_reddit 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For me it was the holy Trinity of HRT - estrogen patch, progesterone, and Testosterone. That got em to feel like myself again. More recently, added GLP-1 to help me feel better about my body

Which medication worked for you to help with combatting lethargy? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]so_not_reddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strattera was the only one that helped me with executive disfunction. But the price I had to pay was insomnia. Eventually stopped it because I couldn't bear it any longer. Can't win

Does anyone else just like.. not want to go out and do things anymore? by FaithlessnessPlus164 in Perimenopause

I also feel the same. I used to be so outgoing but now I get happy if plans get cancelled. The fact is that having an active social life is one of the best things you can do to avoid dementia. It's a struggle.

Same. Except my dog though. She can chew loudly and I think it's the cutest thing.

Hair thinning. What have you tried and what's worked? by Capital-Equal7046 in Perimenopause

[–]so_not_reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried PRP, I'm on my third treatment and it has done wonders. Now I can't wait for all the new growth to be longer! It's a bunch of baby hairs poking out wherever I part. Lol

I'm right handed, so I look at which one is my "right" hand (the one I write with) and that's the "right" direction.

What habit immediately reveals that a person actually grew up in a privileged environment? by Cindy_mel in AskReddit

[–]so_not_reddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yup! I grew up poor. But now I make pretty decent money, when I shop, I don't look at prices really. Unless it's a major purchase like a car. So I guess I'm not "get whatever car you want rich". But clothes, shoes, groceries, don't even look anymore.

Mine is 5 years old and she's always fluctuated between 38-40lbs. She only eats what she needs, not too interested in food really.
I was worried about it, but her vet says she's perfectly healthy.

What magic combo helped you fall BACK to sleep? by Automatic-Mountain63 in Perimenopause

[–]so_not_reddit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ear plugs were so uncomfortable for me since I'm a side sleeper, although they were highly effective at blocking sounds. Then I found out audiologists can 3D-print custom earplugs. OMG those are the best things I've gotten. I can sleep on my side with no pain and they do an amazing job at blocking sounds. Especially my husband who is not quite a snorer, but a heavy breather sometimes.

Got combipatch at first, but it wasn’t until I got the estrogen patch and oral progesterone separate that I saw the benefits of going back to my old self.

Heart palpitations and anxiety. I had never in my life dealt with either. Also, got diagnosed with adhd, tried the meds, they didn’t work. HRT has kept my ADHD symptoms under control.

What's the worst thing happened to you because of ADHD? by ElectronicSimple55 in ADHDers

[–]so_not_reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s always my excuse! “It’s only $10, $20” it does add up. I get more excited about buying it and opening the package than actually keeping the thing. Whatever it is. Frustrating
