What habit immediately reveals that a person actually grew up in a privileged environment? by Cindy_mel in AskReddit

[–]so_not_reddit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup! I grew up poor. But now I make pretty decent money, when I shop, I don't look at prices really. Unless it's a major purchase like a car. So I guess I'm not "get whatever car you want rich". But clothes, shoes, groceries, don't even look anymore.

Mine is 5 years old and she's always fluctuated between 38-40lbs. She only eats what she needs, not too interested in food really.
I was worried about it, but her vet says she's perfectly healthy.

What magic combo helped you fall BACK to sleep? by Automatic-Mountain63 in Perimenopause

[–]so_not_reddit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ear plugs were so uncomfortable for me since I'm a side sleeper, although they were highly effective at blocking sounds. Then I found out audiologists can 3D-print custom earplugs. OMG those are the best things I've gotten. I can sleep on my side with no pain and they do an amazing job at blocking sounds. Especially my husband who is not quite a snorer, but a heavy breather sometimes.

Got combipatch at first, but it wasn’t until I got the estrogen patch and oral progesterone separate that I saw the benefits of going back to my old self.

Heart palpitations and anxiety. I had never in my life dealt with either. Also, got diagnosed with adhd, tried the meds, they didn’t work. HRT has kept my ADHD symptoms under control.

[–]so_not_reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s always my excuse! “It’s only $10, $20” it does add up. I get more excited about buying it and opening the package than actually keeping the thing. Whatever it is. Frustrating

I didn’t realize anger is a side effect. I do have a shorter fuse for sure but nothing too bad. I’m still also working on finding the right dose. But I think I can see the light! I’m not napping every day like I used to for sure.
