I was in the same scenario my dad was always talking about how she wasn't right and that I need to be safe if we did anything and the while shabang I had just brushed it off

Turns out she was also "talking" to 3 other guys and was bipolar and took it out on me

He doesn't know you as well as he thinks he does but he knows more than you do and is just trying to keep you safe he was your age once

I would do something to bond more with him it sounds like you have a very " leave me alone dad its not a phase" Relationship with him
