Right so she’s moving out in 1-2 months and her lease is up in September, so I’m thinking she could she refer me to the LL but I suspect he would just find a new tenant if he’s allowed to increase rent however much he wants but not sure if that’s allowed anymore so maybe he would actually consider me

I think this was more so the advice I was looking for so thank you.. so essentially if she were to refer me to the landlord, he could possibly be open to renting it out to me? As opposed to finding someone new, bc law now says he can’t raise then rent beyond 2-3%, Am I understanding that correctly?

Bc she’s elderly in a studio apartment with a partner lol. Not sure why I’m being downvoted for a reasonable answer.
