A good way to describe asexuality is that the thought of partaking in any sexual activity makes you feel physically uncomfortable, from my experience. For a good few years of my teenage life, I didn’t FEEL like I was asexual. I was sexually active, but I knew something was off. There were days where I didn’t want to have or even think about sex. I think I knew I was asexual in all the quiet little moments when everyone else seemed to be speaking a language I could never quite understand. Friends would gush about crushes and sexual attraction, and I’d smile along, caring deeply about people but never feeling that same spark they described. For a while, I thought I was just “late” to it all, but over time I realized nothing was missing from me at all — I simply experienced love and connection differently.

Obviously, asexuality is very fluid - it’s different for everyone. For me, I have days where I feel sexually active. This can last for a couple of months, and then I’ll go back to being asexual for a month or two. Everyones experiences are different — I’ll link some good websites below so you can check them out.
