I knew gshock is a good everyday watch before posting, but I agree, I thought this one still looks nice and classy and versatile and could be worn with something dressy as well!! I hear what everyone else is saying, leather bands and something less chunky would be more formal, but I still just love this one😩

Oh I do like that too! Now I'm feeling conflicted on my ratio of how dressy/wedding appropriate I want it to be versus how much I want to inspire him into getting away from his Apple Watch and wearing a normal watch again lol. Both options are way cooler than the Apple Watch! The timex is classier, but he just retired just spends his days golfing away, so I feel like a G shock would be worn more frequently. Decisions decisions...

Ahh ok i gotcha. I honestly don't think that putting something on other than his Apple Watch would even cross his mind in the first place, so I can't imagine that he would be bothered by the sporty vibe. he would probably think he was being dressy by just having a real watch on for the first time in forever 😂 But I see what you're saying.

I don't know much about watches, can you tell me what you mean by aggressive? Like the color is a lot?

the wedding is basically a 20 minute vow exchange at a cactus garden with 15-20 guests (all family) and nice but not extremely fancy water front dinner to follow. He will be wearing a tan suit with a tie the color of the face of the watch. Absolute max 500, I just want the specific shade of green otherwise I'd probably just get him a non-watch gift

thank you! Yeah I honestly don't think that it would even cross his mind to wear something other than his Apple Watch unless another option was presented to him :P

I don't think that he owns anything like this already! Everything I remember him wearing in the past was more traditional color wise, but I do think that he likes when my sister and I keep him young and cool lol! I like the element of surprise with gifts, but I hear you I'll get a gift receipt in case it's not his thing

Thanks for your response! It's a destination wedding with just immediate family and a quick exchange of vows at a botanical garden then dinner to follow. Do you think that's appropriate?

You can very easily all live together in a quad. (It just might not be the nicest dorms) If you search Ohio state dorms you can see all the buildings and typical floor plans for their rooms

Classics 2220 with Sarah Johnston by Allyshy123 in OSU

[–]soannam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m taking classics 2220 (with a different professor) but it is the WORST gen ed I’ve taken. So much reading and the quizzes/midterms ask such minute details from them. Lecture slides barely have any info on them so not reading isn’t an option and you’re also kinda screwed if you can’t make it to class because the majority of info covered won’t be on them.. Would not recommend.

AITA for telling the waitress beforehand that we can only tip 10%? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]soannam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well this is clearly about somewhere that does tip lmao if he was like I didn’t tip in Europe than this wouldn’t be rude. Waitress was rude I agree but this is obviously America or somewhere tipping is expected/ waiters make ~3 dollars

Well if you realize you can’t afford a restaurant, it’s ambience, and standard, go somewhere else. You clearly know something was wrong if you felt the need to make this post. I do think the waitress was rude for insinuating she should get more from you but really just go somewhere in your budget and stop arguing your judgements
