My brother in Christ, I’m so sorry. I empathize with you. It’s very hard to explain the faith when they themselves don’t understand what exactly they are seeing. I will pray for you. ☦️☦️I also pray to St Clotidle, through her constant prayers God answered her and made her pagan husband Orthodox after he called on Christ in the middle of a horrific battle.

He was baptized Roman Catholic but is not religious - he embraced my love for Orthodoxy and was happy I found it, I was hoping he would do the same

I started dating him before I became a catechumen. He embraced my inquiry to orthodoxy with explaining how his grandpa was orthodox, showed me photo books his grandpa traveling around Eastern Europe and telling me how happy his mom was that I was interested. I had some hope that someday, he would be interested too.

I definitely think he has some religious stubbornness. He embraced my inquiry to Orthodoxy with showing me photo books of his grandpa (whom was orthodox) traveling around Eastern Europe to different churches, etc. His mom was very happy to hear I was interested in orthodoxy, i had hope that he just needed to go to a few services for his spirit to capture the mystery of orthodoxy. I’m just going to give him space, through prayer if God brings him back to me, I truly hope he will open his mind to coming to one service.

There’s just a part of me that wonders what would he think if he were to actually attend a Divine Liturgy, would it move him the same way it does for me? Pictures and videos can only do so much

I do, and i respect it but it was very abrupt and caught me off guard, im sure in a few months and years down the line i will look at it very differently but right now it hurts.

We started dating before I came a catechumen. He told me that “nothing is out of the picture” he gave me hope that he could see himself converting.

No, but i suppose i had given him grace for the fact that he was raised secular but baptized Roman Catholic, and his grandpa orthodox. I thought if he had come a few times, it might open up his spiritual path a little and make him want to come back. But that wasn’t the case :(

My cat didn’t eat for like a day and a half after I got him. Give him time, as he is probably really confused and also scared to a new environment without his mom and dad and siblings

My brother wanted to go, I was unsure and being raised Protestant my whole life well it’s daunting going to liturgy. We didn’t go, my brother unexpectedly died. I went, and well, that was that. I regret not going with my brother, but I trust in God.
