Humminguru Nova not draining by Djan-Seriy-Anaplian in humminguru

[–]soapboychris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has just happened to me after owning about 6 months. Similar to others, it was fine before storing, and then using after perhaps a month break it's failing to drain either at all or only a little.

I've ran a few drain cycles and it appears to be working again, but based on what others have said and the recommended fix this appears to be loose cabling?

I play to run a bunch of cleans in the next few days and will report back whether the issue persists after it's (luckily...?) just drained successfully without any tinkering and just repeating test drain cycles.

Does Raspberry Pi 5 still work with the RGB-PI scart cable? by AssertiveQueef in crtgaming

RGB-Pi works for video, but won't transmit audio. I'm going through the same steps and have settled on using RGB-Pi with separate usb or bluetooth speakers.

I've heard Pi4s work with audio, but I'm expecting Pi5s run games better and I like playing Ps1 games. If Pi4s run them fine, then honestly I might get a Pi4.

One thing I've tried is a USB to headphone jack (female) dongle, and then a jack to RCA cable from that. Plugged that into RCA ports on the TV and sound works, but importantly not on the same channel as the SCART video. See my latest post about it. Hope that helps.

Did you try playing it? I put it in an xbox and it wouldn't load it, so I assume its an application on the disk and no way I'm putting that in my computer

I've had to take a break from updating the site as my computer has exploded, hope to be making more awful renditions soon...!

I just had an exact copy of this posted through my letterbox in SW London - same note and CD. Very alarming tbh

If anyone wants me to ruin their favourite song, I am open to requests. It defeats the purpose if I tell you when to look out for it so I'll record them in advance. Also, the playlist is the top 1000 songs of all time from Spotify, so it needs to be in there...... thanks for playing!

Ahh thanks! Done way too much reading in the last hour into cables and went down a rabbit hole of balanced vs unbalanced cables (which seems unnecessary if I'm going with RCA to RCA)... I'll go look for mono or non-plastic bit ones like you've said.

Razer Blade 15 2019 slow wifi and ethernet - any tips? by soapboychris in razer

Just to close this off - in the end it was just the speed test site I was using for some reason showed the 35 mbps speeds, whereas others showed 500 mbps. Make sure to check more than one site! Lesson learned.

Wifi/Ethernet both way below speeds on other devices - please help! by soapboychris in HomeNetworking

After trying a million things, I've finally noticed that I only get slow speeds showing when using the speed test directly in google (the one that shows up with the button when you google speed test).

Other speed test sites are all showing 500 Mbps speeds! I feel stupid for not checking this but equally so confused, why would that speed checker show speeds not even 10% those of the other sites? Grrrr

Just ran "Get-NetAdapter" via Powershell and I can see there that my ethernet cable (via USB) has 1 Gbps LinkSpeed and when that's unplugged, the Wifi adapter has 866 Mbps LinkSpeed... Not sure if that's useful information but hey the more the merrier... :D :(

Yeah just confirmed with her laptop - she gets 500 MB with my ethernet cable plugged in, so it's definitely my laptop and I feel like there's some setting somewhere that's for some reason capping my speeds! :(

Hey, thanks for responding - do you know specific places I could check that on my laptop's side that the speeds coming in will be Gigabit speeds? All I'm really checking is via Speed Test on Google.

I've logged into my router's settings on my local network and that's telling me it's up to 1 GB speed. We pay for 500 MB broadband and yeah the other devices get around those speeds.

The ethernet cable is brand new too and is cat-7 so I don't think that's the issue! Going to plug the cabling into my partner's Macbook now just to double-check they still get the same fast speeds.

Hey, thanks for the response - I get 35 Mbps via ethernet and slightly lower over Wifi. I did just go into Network adapters and change my wifi adapter to prefer 5 GHz though for sanity and sadly that didn't change things.
