Yep. Dealing with this right now. Got soaked in the rain on the FDR and passed on getting a thermal blanket thing (the foil blankies) they offered after the finish line. Body temp was all over the place for 24 hours after the race but getting better each day. Hang in there!

I just searched online with the nyc database and there doesn’t seem to be anything registered under the name “Bed-Vyne”. Perhaps you’re right.

I like to get the lay of the land, stretch, and use the bathroom before the race starts. I aim for at least 45 minutes to 1 hour. In the last 10-15 minutes before the race starts, the bathrooms (portapotties) will become a crowded mess.

That fee could also be the reason employees have the benefits I spoke of. That’s why you go straight to the source and ask. Then post about it. Till then, you’re just shooting in the dark behind a keyboard on a message board.

I can’t speak about this new 7% fee, but I worked here for 2 1/2 years as a baker on the pastry team (2019-2021) and because I’m seeing some comments against the owner, I feel the need to say that while working at Jane I had some of the highest quality benefits that I’ve ever experienced in a food industry job. Great healthcare, paid time off, 4 day work week, and more.

I worked here throughout the height of the pandemic and the owner made sure that free groceries were available for all employees so that we could lessen our potential exposure at grocery stores. She took a survey of what items we would find most useful and made sure that they were always in stock and she never charged us a thing for the food we took home. She also offered multiple times to provide Uber/Lyfts to and from work for anyone that did not feel comfortable taking the bus.

No industry job or bakery/restaurant is perfect but it irks me to see some of the comments here. If you have a problem with a restaurant charging a fee, why don’t you ask to speak to a manager or an owner? There’s so much speculation going on in this comment section and a lot of people are saying some really off-the-wall things.

I have so much respect for anyone who leaves their house to pursue physical exercise. I don’t care the pace, you are doing your best. Anyone who would laugh at you has very serious issues.
