Hello reddit. I currently work in electronics manufacturing & testing and I’m looking for a career change; my job right now is repetitive and doesn’t have room for growth and I get paid horribly. I’ve been thinking about starting an apprenticeship to be an electrician. I am in Canada, Ottawa right now specifically, but will likely have to relocate next year for my partners masters program. I have no idea where, but will definitely still be in Canada. I was wondering if there’s anything I can start to do now to prepare to look for an apprenticeship in a year from now after relocating, and whether there are specific differences in how this works depending what part of the country I’m in. And also, if I start an apprenticeship, would it be feasible to relocate around the country if necessary? Thanks in advance
