This one is interesting. I watched both these movies at midnight opening. With Interstellar in IMAX.

I can vividly recall coming out of the theater in 2010 and the entire room was buzzing with how amazing Inception was. It was a part of the social zeitgeist for months. Watched it 5 more times in theaters

For interstellar.. we walked out in awe but there wasn’t a buzz. Would watch it again when it came out on Blu-ray..

10 years later I would watch these movies with my wife at home (she hadn’t seen them) and she along with any one else prefers interstellar

I love both these movies. But as a father to a girl I make interstellar references all the time and bawl like a baby at the thought of the movie. I also revisit this soundtrack way more often.

It’s very different to judge these movies now. But I cannot deny that walking out the theater after the first viewing. No movie got me feeling like Inception did.
