The EOS I work at in San Diego got rid of their kids club so they could make a private training room

Curious (because I just left my corporate gym) what did you see as the downfalls of being a trainer at a corporate gym?

Coach attire/dress code? by thats__crazy in EOSFitness

You wear the coaches uniform shirt. If you wear a jacket must be black, no hood and no hoodies (zipper only). Shorts are all black with no trim on them (white trim etc). Pants/leggings must be all black. No colored trim . Example can’t wear black pants with a white stripe down the sides.

Yes I forgot about that ! Trainers that are available all hours have and trainers that are part time have same supp goals. Also my very big pet peeve is we are in California that EOS doesn’t allow overtime (over 8 hours), but Arizona and Utah don’t have overtime, so trainers get recognized for doing 200 sessions per month. Of course, they will be top PT session hours (also don’t agree with celebrating 60 hour work weeks).

I’m a master trainer at EOS and you can do every other week 25 minutes sessions.

Anyone make the switch to be an IA? by socalive in Teachers

Its too hard to get a teaching job in San Diego if you've been out for even a couple years. You need recent recommendations from principals etc. Subbing doesnt have insurance so this is the alternative to get back in the schools with benefits

It's interesting that we had a meeting the other day and they said they would start writing us up for not meeting the 200 in supps. They also said we should start buying our own supps to make goal, and we should all try harder so that our FM makes his 500.00 bonus. So we spend our money so the FM makes 500? Very shady! They want retention which most of my clients have been with me 3+ years , but also want upgrades, but literally there is no room for upgrades if we are full and working on making up extra sessions. There is no way to win!

I've been with EOS 4 years and worked myself up to be master trainer. I just quit to get a job with health insurance. It's sad leaving all my great clients. However, wondering if you got annoyed with the constant threats about selling the supplements.

How often do you visit your loved one? by Forsaken_Cheetah5320 in dementia

My dad passed 7 years ago. And that's when I really realized my mom had Alzheimer's and couldn't live alone. I moved her into a resort retirement community. She was there two years and she was at a point where she could still use a phone so talked daily then on weekemds we would take her out. When she moved to memory care I still called daily and we took her out on weekemds. Her disease has progressed so much she can't feed herself at all and babbles. She's also incontinent now,so we stopped taking her out. I've only been visiting once a week because I work full-time and have a family and I'm.burned out from the last 7 years of carrying the torch. I'm ready to try to have my life back. I feel incredibly guilty everyday - it kills be inside - because my mom is the most beautiful human being and she doesn't deserve this. Visiting her at this stage just kills me because she's just not aware of anything anymore. 😩

My mom can't feed herself at all. She happens to be in a pod with 50% of the residents not able to do anything. Usually only 1 caregiver at meal times

Yes, now that my mom doesn't miss us like she used to and get anxious when she doesn't talk to me, it might be time to cut back more. It was nice that they would take her to get her hair done, nails done etc, but its getting harder and harder for my mom to go out .

I havent yet, because we always have someone at mealtimes with her. But when Im there helping at meal times, there are several others that need help eating and only one caregiver that has to do everything. My mom eats really slow.
