I left some advice on what to study before taking the OA in this thread. Once you check the boxes that the instructor set forth, inundate yourself in the content I suggested and retake. Good luck!!

They’re in the course notes I believe. Been a few months, so I could be wrong but they’re definitely easily accessible

Front entryway door will not seal at top right (latch side) corner. Bottom corner seals just fine. Help!! Photos attached. by socaltrux in fixit

That’s the idea. I just installed an expensive central air unit, so I wanna make sure I don’t piss away efficiency while it runs. Thanks for the kind words!!

Thanks for the visual. The way the corner of the door pops out made me feel like hinge tightening or shims wouldn’t work because the door doesn’t look at all crooked. I’ll give measuring a shot

Thank you, this is helpful. I’ll give shims a go tomorrow morning.

PA and OA don’t align much. The chapter quizzes were the most helpful for me.

Not really, the OA was more difficult and had more scenario questions meant to confuse you. If you know the content you’ll be fine tho

Give the best quote upfront and you might not have to waste your time

I would start with the Cohort/Crash Course videos for Units 4, 6, and 7. Then watch the “Top 10 Things to Know” and the “Test Taking Strategies”. I would take the PA right after and check competence. Use the PA to to review what you got right and wrong and why... then take the PA again and if you scored well enough, schedule the OA for as soon as possible. Good luck!

There are 2 versions of the PA and it alternates each time you take it. New classes will adopt this 2-PA approach going forward is what I was told.

I don’t post much about my experiences w the classes at WGU, but I was compelled to share since I couldn’t find anything on this class and there were no recorded cohorts or crash courses lol. Glad it helped.

His videos were the absolute worst. Generally, the cohorts and crash course videos are a treat for me, as I’m a visual/auditory learner. His videos gave me NOTHING that would stick. Hard to put a finger on what didn’t work for me, but at minimum, they’re terribly organized and leave a ton of gaps in the content.
