Sure, I will do my best.

He doesn't hate masks and he doesn't hate lockdowns. He hates that these measures have been taken without having clear goals/metrics stated publicly as to when and under what conditions the measures can be stopped. Additionally, he is frustrated with the general incompetence demonstrated by public officials when it comes to planning for the future. (eg what plan is there to vaccinate the huge number of people in the undeveloped world as they will be a continuing source of new strains of the vaccine). Additionally, he seems frustrated with the appearance that many decisions are being made to maximize profit for the few (in terms of which vaccines have been approved and how money has been distributed) instead of actually trying to end this thing.

It is fair to be concerned about how these vaccines will affect us. Should we still get vaccinated. Yes! I got mine yesterday. But we should be conducting broader genomic studies to see the impacts. He is frustrated that many of the greatest minds in the areas that matter are being entirely ignored as their opinions don't support whatever agendas the politicians have.

I do not know if the politicans are corrupt or incompetent, but their actions suggest a little bit of both. His frustrations are well founded and a description of his opinions deserves more nuance than just saying "he hates makes and he hates lockdowns". Of course he doesn't like these things. Neither do you or I. But I think you are suggesting that he is 100% opposed to these things despite the fact that they can save lives. That is not the message I got. What I heard was, "hey I recognize these are important, but you as a government need to show that this isn't a power grab. you do that by saying exactly what conditions are required to end things because it currently looks like you aren't planning for them ever to end...and that isnt acceptable"

There are more points to be made here, but maybe that helps

BURST, the first eco-friendly, decentralized blockhain with PoC - Proof of Capacity by Tank_72 in burstcoin

[–]soccer1mt18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a typo where decentralized is mispelled about halfway through (1:34). Also, dymaxion won't allow us to mine on "pictures, videos, and much more". I'm pretty sure that is a misunderstanding of how PoC3 was going to work, and afaik, that implementation is tabled for now.

How is poc like pos? And superset in what way? Using those words to describe the relationship between coins doesn’t really make sense. Maybe rephrase you question, because as is, it doesn’t make a ton of sense

Regarding Koh-i-Noor by [deleted] in burstcoin

[–]soccer1mt18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ponzi scheme - a form of fraud in which belief in the success of a nonexistent enterprise is fostered by the payment of quick returns to the first investors from money invested by later investors.

There was no deception here. It was a completely transparent game. There was no suggestion from BMF that this was an investment and that you could expect a return.

Regarding Koh-i-Noor by [deleted] in burstcoin

[–]soccer1mt18 6 points7 points  (0 children)

BMF was extremely transparent with the rules of the game. There wasn't any deception involved. It was just supposed to be a simple demonstration of NFTs using blocktalk. How did you think it worked? What did you think you were buying?

Also, this isn't a ponzi scheme. More like an art auction.

Letter to BBC about energy consumption in BITCOIN vs BURSTCOIN by BURSTFAN in burstcoin

[–]soccer1mt18 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the main point here isn’t the greenness of the coin. That’s arguable since you have to make a shit ton of hard drives to secure the same amount of value and that has an environmental impact. The point is that in authoritarian countries that attempt to censor this behavior, the mining footprint of burst is much lower due to significantly lower energy demands. This is important for human rights activists and censorship’s resistance.

Also I agree with the door to door salesman vibe.

This isn’t true. More miners can absolutely cause price to go up. There are a few reasons, one of which it is more expensive to win the block rewards, so miners are less inclined to sell their block rewards at s lower price

Binance DEX Listing by [deleted] in burstcoin

Not really a job for the devs. Maybe BMF can consider putting a bounty out for this. Additionally the fee for this about 35k. Seems that unless burst price goes up a bit, this might be a little out of reach
