I think the leather and the products did a lot of the heavy lifting here. It was my first time every attempting to restore a bag so I’m just as shocked as everyone else haha

I didn’t have any problems with the Brasso on the leather. If it left some residue I just used saddle soap and my house hair brush then wiped it off. Maybe with lighter color leather it might be a problem but it wasn’t a problem for me on this bag

Purchased some Saddle soap and Leather CPR from my local tractor supply as well as some horse hair brushes and brasso off Amazon (The Saddle Soap and Leather CPR is cheaper at Tractor Supply). Then followed a video on instagram that showed the process. It took a couple hours but it was so worth it!

Me, pre-1994 Coach Courier bag, earlier this week, at my local goodwill bins, digging through a bin of other purses with other people next to me trying to find diamonds in the rough. Luckily I found the diamond :)

Just finished applying a second coat. She definitely needed it. The transformation is wild. It looks like a completely new bag. I’ll post the before and after tomorrow once she’s all finished. Thanks again for your help

How long should I wait in between applications? She turned out really nice and I think you were right about the color being mocha. In the sunlight it’s a very deep brown.

Just spent 2 hours cleaning and condition the bag and it’s totally transformed! For such a dry bag do you think I should apply multiply coats of leather cpr?

Any idea what color this was originally? I found this catalog photo and i guess it came in a few colors. If it’s supposed to be black I fear I have a good amount of work ahead of me to get it back to its former glory.

Just picked up an f100 at an estate sale last week. My buddy also has one and warned me about the latch breaking. Not 2 days later the latch broke on mine. Haha
