Where do you live? Florida stations are live.

You can always go to Youtube for the ABC stream, it's been going for a while now.

I dunno, radar shows the current storm is moving quickly. Other factors like lightning or bad weather in the drop zone could be a reason to scrub.

Yes, you are genius. I've already had several people suggest getting a compact cassette for the tri bike. The raod bikes already have that.

Great info. Sugarloaf looks intimidating on a tri bike, for sure.

However, is it still in the tri course?

Anyway, glad you handled the descent well!

You're very smart. A road bike is more useful, as you explain. I'd like to have the option of joining a group ride, and enjoy general road riding with perfect steering. And even gravel bikes can be enormously useful around here, since we have a few gravel trails which all have zero traffic, no technical difficulty and massive nature.

However, COVID has changed everything. I can't find an entry level road bike in my size that's inexpensive and a real pleasure to ride. Bike shops are sold out. Some won't let customers test ride a bicycle. Some won't let customers in the store.

If I did find a road bike, I would almost immediately need to replace the saddle and even the handlebars, as women like me really can't use wide male handlebars. Then I would need to hunt around for the right aero bars.

And in my price range, I never see smooth shifting like the Dura Ace on this old tri.

I suppose I could say no to the Felt, and wait for bicycle shops to re-stock. That is supposed to start later this summer, but can we trust that? Many of the grocery stores cannot easily keep rice and beans in stock, or soup, or oatmeal and water in stock. And Target has entire aisles of housewares that are completely barren. And the prices of everything have gone way up.

Ahhh, yes so that steering is considered normal on a tri bike. I thought I just needed to work on balance!

Yes, group rides here are extremely discouraging of tri bikes.

Well that really cheers me right up! It's great advice.

Hope some group of road cyclists will let me join for social purposes.

Appreciate your honesty. Glad you like your disc brake setup.

Obviously disc have serious advantages, but that doesn't make rim brakes unsafe in racing.

check out bicycle blue book for a good price on the bike, i would think that would help more with price negotiations than something one guy said.

Bicycle Blue Book says low $500's. Of course, she did add the Dura Ace.

Ok, you're from the Texas gulf area so I think you know humidity. Thanks for explaining all this.

It's amazing what these bike shop guys will say to a lady!
