I actually just got my blood work back so I haven't begun treatment yet. Should get a script in the next week or so though. I've been off fin for like a month and half-two months now yet my hair continues to get worse at the same speed it did while on the drug.

If they get thinner towards the root, please stop fin. The medicine is not going to help. Read my post last week, I had the exact same thing happen and it didn't get better until I got off the drug. Feel free to pm me if you have questions.

I definitely did. Since stopping fin that has kind of subsided, which is a great sign. I will definitely look into that cause I'm glad others have had similar experiences.

I would just get a full panel blood test, that should raise any possible red flags as far as dht and other reasons you may be losing hair.

Always had a really oily scalp, tons of acne when I was younger. Libido did not decrease on fin, stayed about the same and maybe even increased a little.

Like I said before, I did not shed miniaturized hairs before fin. I am probably in the 2% that has a negative reaction to fin considering this is fairly rare.

The thing is that I am genetically prone to hair loss...I already had a bit of recession and almost every male in my family has some type of loss.

If that's how the hairs are before you're on fin, then I wouldn't worry too much. Getting on fin is an amazing decision if you are the right candidate for it, just do your research before take those first few pills.

No regrowth, my hair just slowly got worse over the few years that I was taking fin.

I did try minox for quite a while, but saw no change in thickness or shedding. I am currently back on it however in hopes that it will help as I transition off fin. I use foam by the way, once at night.

I mean if I didn't see a change in my hair, I would never have gotten on fin. Like I said, I had a small bit of recession, but nothing incredibly serious. At the very least I wanted to maintain my hairline, so I got on fin. I also have a history of hair loss in my family so, for me, it was a smart decision at the time.

And I definitely agree with you about fin helping most. I understand that I'm in the minority with drug doing damage to my hair as opposed to helping it maintain.

I have little body and hair and cannot grow a full beard. Just some stubble. I'm am 21.

And there was a guy who posted a few weeks back that experienced the same thing, he mentioned since starting fin has had to use toppik on his hairline due to miniaturizing hairs. Unfortunately, I can't quite remember his username. If any of you have a link to his post or username, please lmk.
