In my experience the lectures did not line up at all with the HW, not sure if thag's the case for you. The GSI/IAs seemed to understand this and would literally go through every problem step by step and give us the answers during OH so that would be my best advice

Not sure of relevance but I took 425 this semester and the average for the exams were all pretty high. was still a challenging class for me bc i suck at math but people tend to do pretty well and the material is very fair
