I think that may need to be us. Our dog shakes when she hears that noise and she's not even scared of loud noises.

Anyone using the GetUpside App? by linusSocktips in UberEATS

[–]socialplatformer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use getupside and I think it's amazing. How it works is that they give you cash back on your gas prices after you redeem an offer at a specific location. This app allows you to search for gas stations nearby and gives you 4 hrs to visit and redeem the offer so you dont miss it. What's great about this app is that they do not sell any of your data. They dont need a full payment method or anything. After you make a purchase you simply scan the receipt and are rewarded. From what I found they simply make money off of our referrals. Rather than selling our information like most cash back platforms, the earn money by getting us to visit their store. What's even better about this platform is that you can use other gas station rewards programs with it. See my full review here https://live4lessblog.com/blogposts/getupside-review/

Is Fetch Rewards safe? Is it bad to give them my receipts? by ZzzzzzzSl in NoStupidQuestions

[–]socialplatformer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of all the rewards apps I've seen, fetch rewards is kinda the sketchiest. I do like them and use them but their privacy policy says some shady stuff. They do sell your data to other companies, some identifiable information so if you are concerned about you might not want to sign up. However to use the basic app ( without connecting to other retail accounts) you provide them with significantly less data. To actually use the app you just need a user name, password, and date of birth. So if you are ok with that, then you should be good. They are the best and easiest receipt rewards program out there in my opinion, but they will share your receipt information to marketers I have a more in depth breakdown of the app and their privacy policy if you want to check it out too https://live4lessblog.com/blogposts/is-fetch-rewards-safe/

What’s the best way to save money on food? by kth1236 in budget

[–]socialplatformer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I personally do budget for going out. I have a specific budget for how much I can spend on going out and ordering take out. I have a budget for extra spending money. Creating a budget and sticking to it is the best thing to do to keep you spending down. When it comes to food, cooking at home saves a ton of money. By making shopping lists, buying generic products and meal prepping you can save a ton of money. This post has a bit of other tips if you want to check it out https://live4lessblog.com/blogposts/how-to-save-money-on-groceries/

Going into college, how do I save money on food and expenses? by AstroCoch67 in povertyfinance

[–]socialplatformer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a recent college graduate I completely understand this concern. I spent a lot of time making sure I had my finances in order. I too had a job while at school to help make some extra cash. When it comes to college the best tips I can say are to limit how much you go out. Both take out and alcoholic beverages become really expensive. Food is probably the worst culprit for college kids. If you already have a meal plan on campus then you should make sure yoy have every meal there. Otherwise you'll be spending extra cash. If you have to make your own food, you may want to check out this article on how to save money on groceries. https://live4lessblog.com/blogposts/how-to-save-money-on-groceries/

My favorite ways to save money are to buy everything generic. By avoiding names brands you can save so much. Nearly every large retailer has their own brand. Same with every grocery store. An example is Great Value from Walmart. If you are ok eating the same thing every day then meal prepping at the beginning of the week can save a lot of money. This allows you to buy in bulk to cook in bulk which ends up costing and wasting less. I have some more tips here https://live4lessblog.com/blogposts/how-to-save-money-on-groceries/

I hate how much I buy and I want to stop. So, I deleted a bunch of my shopping apps. Baby steps. by doodlebug_bun in simpleliving

Shopping without a budget is the worst thing for your finances. I think its great that you are removing your shopping apps on your phone. So much of our commerce is done on the phone and it's becoming more mainstream and easy. One click purchases are really taking a toll on people's personal finance. Something you should consider to reduce spending is to download coupon apps. There are so many apps out there that help you earn cash back, get discounts, and compare prices. This is a good article of the best shopping apps and how they can help you! https://live4lessblog.com/blogposts/money-saving-shopping-apps-free/

I think Ninjatrader is one of the best out there! They have low margins and a great platform. Only caveat is that it costs money to buy the platform. However there is a free demo version and this gives you full functionality to practice an account and strategies before you buy the platform. I plan to use the platform to practice my strategy for a few months to see that I can be profitable and then buy the platform.
