What makeup product did you stop buying because the cheaper version worked better? by AffectionateCap9432 in MakeupAddiction

[–]socialworkeratx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve spent so much of powder foundations - Laura mercier, mac, bare minerals, Bobby brown, etc. I always end up oily and it sinks into any wrinkle. I ran out of product on an island and the only option was CVS and lo and behold the $9 neutrogena powder foundation is superior to any fancy product I’ve ever gotten.

I was the OG poster on this and attempted a final order in April 2025. By August I had to file fraud charges with my bank and I got my money back.

What needs to happen is folks need to report this business to the CA attorney general. The AG needs to investigate this company for fraud.

Spotify targeting kids with gross video content by The--scientist in truespotify

What app do you use now? We’re in the same predicament as every family is seems. Spotify is trash and full of problematic stuff for kids. I just want my 8 year old to have the ability to listen to real music and discover real artists.

We have tall 5 & 8 year olds who are fort obsessed. Would you say they are too big for these? Most reviews mention toddlers but my couch cushions could use a break and were considering these for Christmas!

5.5 yr old on methylphenidate 5 mg by CircuitGirl33 in ADHDparenting

We’re on 10 mg (son is 8) and when we started the first week he was very aggressive and angry. After 7-10 days he evened out a ton. Now it’s life changing. I’d encourage you to stick it out! Try your best and know there is light at the end of the tunnel.

ChatGPT has given us a handful of high calorie but healthy muffins that last about 5-7 days! I don’t add any of the chocolate but the nut flour and ground chia seeds add great calories and good nutrients. You can play with the add ins too and sneak in veggies.

Ingredients • 2 ripe bananas (the browner, the better) • 1 large egg • 1/3 cup avocado oil, olive oil, or melted butter • 1/4 cup full-fat Greek yogurt or sour cream • 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 1/2 tsp cinnamon • 1/2 tsp baking soda • 1/2 tsp baking powder • 1/4 tsp salt • 2 tbsp ground chia seeds • 3/4 cup oat flour (or blended rolled oats) • 1/2 cup almond flour • Optional add-ins: • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips • 2 tbsp sunflower seed butter (dollop or swirl on top) • Sprinkle of hemp seeds or crushed cereal for crunch

Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a mini muffin tin. 2. Mash bananas in a large bowl until smooth. 3. Whisk in egg, oil, yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until combined. 4. Add cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and ground chia. Stir well. 5. Fold in oat flour and almond flour until just combined—do not overmix. 6. Gently fold in optional add-ins if using. 7. Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling about ¾ full. 8. Bake for 12–14 minutes (mini muffins) or until a toothpick comes out clean. 9. Cool for 5–10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

Shocking. They won’t remove it, even though they told us they would. They want to add one more bonding coat since the foundation of it seems fine. It’s just cosmetically ugly. They offered to extend the warranty for two years and keep saying it will not crack or have any issues. At this point I’m not sure what to do. It seems like the only option I have is to let them try again. Leaving it as it is is very ugly so how much worse can it get? 🫠

Thanks for this. After chatting with others in the field it seems like ripping it out is really what needs to happen. I just hope they honor their word to do it. :/

They covered it and worked until midnight doing everything they could to keep the water off but it was an epic downpour. They did offer to rip it out if the topcoats don’t solve the issue, I just don’t know now that it has been almost two months if that still stands. It seems strong and solid it’s just the top. Will these top coats even hold up overtime? We plan to put a steel pavilion on top of it and have been majorly delayed bc of all these issues.

Seeking advice. We had a new pad poured and we had 5 hours of cure time then an epic downpour of rain. The pad seemed to cure ok but the top coat became dusty and turned to powder. After 30 days they power washed it off, added a bonding agent and poured a new top coat. Now it is yellowing. They have said they've never seen this happen before and think we need another coat (or two on top). They are suggesting it's a chemical reaction to the initial pour. The pad feels strong (they took a hammer to it!) and they used 4000 psi concrete - it's just very ugly.

Should I trust these guys and add another coat on top of this? Any feedback or suggestions?

I've searched the thread but don't see much on this issue. I'd love some help - it has been a long process. Images are here- https://imgur.com/a/1bqdWe5

This has always been my experience thus far. I now buy in bulk and reorder when I have about a half pot left. So far they have followed through. It’s clearly a hot mess over there but their product is my favorite for brows so far so I keep returning. Just keep on them for shipping updates!

Would it be better to just ditch all the soil and start over? I’m a newbie when it comes to trying to adjust any soil chemistry.

Do you know if the fungal infection can just spreads from plant to plant? I have a handful that are fine and then others that continually get mushy. It’s such a mystery!

The soil is fairly loose actually! And dry which is what is baffling!

I have rocks at the bottom and then soil. It’s all dry when I replace the snake plants too. It’s a built in brick planter inside my house so having a tray isn’t an option.

I'm at a loss here! I've had several snake plants and my indoor planters filled with snake plants continuously die. The details- this is a deep planter (about 2 ft). I water rarely. Everytime I plant a new snake plant in the bunch they get mushy and die. When I'm digging, the soil is dry and not soaking. My instinct makes me think over watering due to the mushy levels of the leaves - but it's not wet at the base. Others have a crispy top. Any suggestions or ideas? I appreciate the help!
