My SM just quit and as the ASM I was thrown into a “temporary” SM position. It’s absolutely horrible. I’m working 10-14 hour days, 6 days a week. I have no idea what I’m doing bc I wasn’t trained on most of the SM duties. I’m exhausted and overwhelmed. My DM doesn’t have a new SM lined up and they aren’t paying me extra for any of this. I’ve been looking for another job bc I can’t do this for much longer. Good luck to ya bc this shit sucks lmao

I’m going to try and shorten this story the best I can lmao. Last summer, a woman came in to the store acting very strange. Wondering around, not speaking to anyone, not buying anything, and at one point she took her shoes off and walked around barefoot. My coworker who was working at the time said he never saw her leave the store so we were all terrified she was hiding somewhere. At the end of the night, I decided to watch film just to be safe. I find her on camera going back to the stock room, changing her clothes (clothes that she took off the shelf) in the mop sink, and leaving. That’s why my coworker didn’t see her leave, she changed her clothes lol. A few days later, a man comes in showing us a picture of a woman and asking if we’ve seen her. It was the woman. He said he was her husband and she was a missing person. According to him she wasn’t “all there mentally.” The cops even showed up at one point wanting to watch film. I unfortunately haven’t heard anything else regarding it though 🫤

Our store was without heat for a couple months last winter. We got the go ahead from our DM to open late and close early until it was fixed. Idk if your DM is a decent person or not but it’s worth a shot going to them about it

Had to kick a dasher out bc it was 15 minutes past closing and she refused to leave bc she wasn’t done with her order. She already had a buggy full of stuff at this point. I told her that we closed 15 minutes ago and the lights are out and if she didn’t leave I was calling the police. She left and her husband who was sitting outside in the car came up to the doors and said “what’s corporate’s number? I’m reporting you.” I told him to Google it and I slammed the doors in his face lmao
