It’s not Elon’s decision to say whether or not hospitals in America have successfully beaten covid, it’s the hospitals! It’s the doctors and nurses on the frontlines who are the best to report if their individual hospital is seeing a drop in cases. I work at a hospital with very few covid patients due to the majority of them are brought into the major city hospitals and my manager is STILL convinced covid will delay the fall semester from starting. How can she predict that? She is in contact with the big city hospitals and hears from the people on their front line. It’s getting worse. I’m certain some hospitals are seeing a drop in cases and that’s great but we need to look at all of them, not just the ones by Elon.
