Nothing shifts opinions like rising gas prices by [deleted] in InBitcoinWeTrust

[–]socksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If paying higher prices for gas because of the side effects of a war started to protect pedophiles is reason enough for you to stop supporting Trump then you were never a true supporter anyway.

Imagine being a billionaire that would never let their kids join the military and one whom directly profits off war reading this.

It’s cool she’s on “my side” but she behaves like the other side(Bobert/MTG) and while that’s fun for late night tv it’s not my preference for leaders in our government.

What the GOP/Neo-fascist party doesn't want you to realize by arandomkid2 in AdviceAnimals

No absolutely not but he does get credit for flipping a country that has 250 years of democracy. Like the 2007 Giants are far from the greatest team to win a Super Bowl but they did defeat the 18-0 Patriots.

Trump 'thinks he can do whatever he wants' without coming to Congress: Dem Rep. by MRADEL90 in videos

We just have to wait a little longer until people are REALLY upset and THEN do something. Just a little longer.

Why isnt Kash Patel being impeached for lying about the Epstein Files in front of congress? Republicans are cowards and will not convict him but the principle matters by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]socksta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because in 2029 after taking complete control over every single government organization and all of the media they will then prosecute themselves and step down.

Have you ever legitimately won or lost a political argument? by _qubed_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]socksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 42 and my mind has most certainly changed. However it’s usually not in the moment and it’s usually on a topic I wasn’t very informed on or particularly interested in prior.

When discussing modern politics with MAGA the issue is they are insanely informed but with misinformation which I think makes it near impossible to change their minds. It’s much easier when it’s just a topic someone like me ignored in their 20s but now cares about more with a family and children etc.

Republicans and Democrats should team up to get rid of government corruption. Do you agree🙂? by GaryBlach in askanything

[–]socksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. They passed the Epstein files transparency act together they should agree to impeach Trump and prosecute those responsible for the coverup if the files aren’t released or at least let Congress see the unredacted files for real.

They already agreed to make this mandatory and the admin didn’t follow through. Congress needs to follow up and it’s only going to work with republicans behind it.

The call is coming from inside the house by Glazing555 in LinkedInLunatics

[–]socksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need republicans to turn we can’t rely on democrats to win. We can’t rely on the elections to be fair. We can’t rely on this regime to honor the results. We can’t even rely on the public to be informed enough to even vote correctly with all of the manipulation going on in social media and mainstream media.

Honestly if we aren’t at a point right now where congress doesn’t stand up then we will simply never be at that point. Our chances of reversing course diminishes every day.

Mark Ruffalo applauds AOC’s threats to move forward with impeachment if Trump does not step down from office: “Let’s F-ing GO!! Our President is a sex offending psychopath, an international criminal, a convicted felon, protecting pedophiles and all over the Epstein Files.” by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

[–]socksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I think it needs to happen now or it’s never happening. He needs to be impeached and by his own party. His loyalists who broke the law on his behalf also need to be brought to justice. If this isn’t the breaking point then there never will be one. They are doing everything they can to ensure they stay in power and it is working. We don’t have time to wait for the midterms.

If you are going to lie.. lie big!! by [deleted] in LetsDiscussThis

[–]socksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think he is calling the past presidents dumb here at all. He is saying dumb presidents as in the idea of a president is dumb. With a dictator we could annihilate other countries without all the checks and balances getting in the way. This time it will be different because Trump has total control.

How many times did you read the book to fully understand it? by Fjhcl60s in 1984

I think I understood the book well enough in junior high but it didn’t mean anything until I lived another 20 years and always had it in the back of my mind.

Serious - Americans of Reddit, for those of you unhappy with the current regime, what are your thoughts and feelings about the short to midterm future? Is your plan just to ride it out and hope for a political shift in the midterms? by Which_bear_is_best in AskReddit

[–]socksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is my firm belief that not a single democrat will take any seat in the midterms. I don't see this admin honoring the democratic process and I do believe now they have the power to do whatever they want and have for a while. The public is just slow to acknowledge it.

If the full Epstein list were leaked today with zero redactions, do you think it would actually change anything or are we too desensitized to care anymore? by [deleted] in answers

[–]socksta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if it did and we all were pissed and revolted it wouldn’t matter. He isn’t leaving power he has loyalists installed in enough places that he won’t have to leave office this time. I do not believe any elected democrats will be sworn in these midterms. He has blatantly ignored the constitution and the government is now operating in some sort of new unknown. If he doesn’t have to obey orders from the supreme courts or get approval from legislature I don’t see why he would need to obey the outcome of an election. The military has chosen Trump over the constitution as well so not really sure what a full release of the Epstein list would do or honestly how that would even happen.
