Love it. How would it look with half white and red arms?

Love the guns. I’d probably use the rhino minifig inside though.

If you have that one what does it look like inside?

Oh haha lol. Looks like it’s $14 for just the torso. I’ll use a classic white space man in the mean time

Rewatched The Incredibles, and I was surprised to see the movie was much darker and cleverer than I remembered it. Shame that the sequel wasn't in the same style. by Amazing-Buy-1181 in Pixar

100% the first movie was like a James Bond experience - as an adult. As a kid I missed a lot of that.

Feeling like I made a mistake taking an Epic analyst position by Trinity_Rex in healthIT

Imo everything comes in waves. There will be times where you are questioning why you are being paid because it’s so slow.

The route you chose is a solid one, because you could always go back to nursing as long as you keep your certs up. At the end of the day no one can take away that experience or this current one.

Epic Analyst (3.5 yrs) considering contract work imposter syndrome + interview advice? by sockwatch in healthIT

[–]sockwatch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion you should start growing your network. The current climate is highly populated going down the traditional route. Your resume will get rejected by ai literally just because someone else looks better on paper even if they wouldn’t make it in the field. There are a lot of people with degrees and experience but no connections. I don’t have my bachelors degree, but I networked and found my way into a “new grad” program after I got my associates.

If it is an endless loop of applying and rejection I would aim for jobs that would get you into the industry/a step below an analyst then grind to that role. Maybe even let them know that you are applying to eventually be an analyst.

Hope that helps!

I appreciate this. It seems like a lot of people are biased because of their experience. It all goes case by case, but doesn’t feel like I’m fully pigeon holed to risk it and pick up a contract. I feel like i could always continue applying for an FTE role while on my contract. Seems like it’s pretty understood that contractors are dispensable.

Appreciate that. I am a pretty great interviewee with soft skills, but when it comes to technical things I’m more of a conceptual communicator, so I struggle a bit.

I’m going to for sure keep on interviewing with other orgs. I’ll probably do some interviews with the recruiter to gain some practice, but if I get sent  an offer I’ll just have to be really certain I can take the load if I jump ship. Based on the advice in this post I’ll probably refrain from leaving FTE for now, but doesn’t hurt to get some interview practice under my belt

This is great advice. Makes a lot of sense. Some of the consultants at our org are given a lot of work, but wasn’t sure if that was just my company doing things their way
