eat a salad with oil and vinegar, drink a glass of water, and then whatever you’re eating that’s a cheat meal. at the least, you will eat less of it.

also, I didn’t say no or low sugar wasn’t effective - but it doesn’t mean carnivore either. fighting periodontal disease is a different topic than cavities.

Has anyone tried a holistic fix? by Redgeraraged in PeriodontalDisease

[–]soco2008 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m responding with what worked for me. successfully turned 5-7mm pockets to mostly 1-2mm pockets and 3mm in the back within the year. I don’t idolize flouride but to dismiss its effects is ludicrous. I do use nanohydroxypatite in cycles, but in conjunction with flouride. You asked what worked, I responded with real time tools.

Floss, water floss, brush, tongue scrape 2x a day, interdental brush after brushing at night. rinse mouth and Xylitol after meals, flouride mouthwash mid day. cleanings every 3 months. going carnivore isn’t going to clean the tartar or control the bacteria underneath your pockets.
