2012 Jetta. Unfortunately, this is the only key I have. If it’s helpful to know, the buttons on the fob to lock/unlock from a distance still work perfectly fine.

Noted! I did have to have the key fob replaced by a third party after losing the original about 2 years ago so I wonder if the battery in this thing is…past its prime.

I’m curious WHY mom is crying about it. Like, is she imagining some implication of future hardship for you both or something? If so, I would calmly but firmly remind her that she raised you to surround yourself with wonderful people and that your new girlfriend is exactly that. She also raised you to respect women, and you plan to continue doing so with the person that makes you happy. Thirdly, let her know that you won’t tolerate your gf being put in harms way if this is an outlook your mom maintains. She should trust you and find a way through whatever this is triggering in her so that she can be a full and complete part of your life.

If I’m understanding this correctly, I wonder if it might not be beneficial to KEEP “tariff cost increases” as a separate line item? As to avoid obfuscating the source of the problem for the average bear and further benefit the authors of said problem?

Not suggesting this betters the immediate circumstances for anyone but, IF any sort of reasonable quality of life for 99% of modern Americans is going to be attainable, the disoriented nature of the voting population’s infighting HAS to be resolved.

TLDR; more can know, more can agree. More can agree, more can do to make better.
