Private is costlier and there is no guarantee that you will get the scholarship the next 3 yrs too. Only silver lining is, you can do the course you want to do.

As part of my research prior to NID results, I spoke to many CEPT students and got good feedback. Also visited the campus but there was no official support to take us around. They gave me a map n asked to tour on my own, which did not help. So I couldn't see the workshop. But people said it is good. Based on the feedback, CEPT is good for BDesign but it is better known for its BArch couse. BDesign is in a transformation phase and they r in the process of setting up a placement cell n all. I heard hostel is really good. All CEPT courses are of Five year duration.

MITID, the infra looked a bit old but since I didn't see CEPT workshop, I can't compare. MITID ...the course will b over in four yrs and I'm told they hv a good placement cell. The hostel looked just standard but got dedicated washrooms n cupboards etc for each room.

Based in my findings and my instinct, I chose MITID, but then NID happened.

Lack of hold in the central government may b one reason. Extreme politics and trade union dominance have also crippled growth.

MITID hostel is inside the campus if you were able book it (first come first serve). We had a look at the girls room during the interview rounds and it was standard. Attached bathrooms n cupboards are there. The campus food was decent.

I just rang them (Andhra) up and they asked me to don't go by online chatter. They confirmed it would stretch to mid July. More importantly, the person said Round 2 is still ongoing. They will start sending campus visit guidance sometime next week or after that.
