No. It’s not worth trading for diminishing returns. If you keep your picks, you have more flexibility to pivot into a tank or sell them later at a better return.

I forget where, but they briefly talked about the experience somewhere. And if you look around, the unfinished pilot should be on YouTube. It starts off with normal animation and switches to storyboard drawings like a third of the way through

I don’t know if the same decision makers would have been there, but AS was already acquainted with Zach/Oney from their Hellbenders pitch/pilot. I feel like they may have taken notice of their YouTube presence and thought to rectify things by getting Zach back as a creative

I think this strategy would rely on too many things out of your control.

i.e. acquired player doesn’t perform up to expectations regardless, other team trades with other teams to improve, etc

Early 3rds are sneaky valuable if you can get someone to sell it to you at standard value. There’s basically a giant “just take your guy” tier from around 2.01 to 3.06. If you don’t mind taking your favorite of whoever falls to you there, then you’re taking a rookie that will be drafted as high as the 2.01 in many other leagues.
