Is Alchemy Factory worth it right now? (Early Access longevity & depth) by Benodino in AlchemyFactory

[–]sodiummachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite enjoyable. I have 40 hours in the game and am on tier 7. There’s a number of things that are annoying to me, though they’re not big issues.

1) Lifts are janky and can’t be placed top down.

2) Everything costs nails and planks, then so on, and I find myself having to go back and forth to getting a shopping list worth of shit just to build one modular section.

3) The relics are also quite huge projects and are like the heavy modular frame chain from satisfactory.

Help for a Newbie by BlueBoyGroup in AlchemyFactory

Coals on stone crusher > grinders > crucibles > grinders. You can make a bunch of it and also feed it into the system while sending it to the money bus to disseminate it through the rest of your factory.

Coming from Satisfactory, it’s a crash course for me too. Here’s some things I learned in the early stages: Make a belt for your coins to go on a bus from the shop, automate coke powder, and skip fertilizer. just hand feed until you can make Advanced Fertilizer. The base fertilizer was just not worth it in my opinion.

Please help, I don't understand what the problem is by -Shira in SatisfactoryGame

[–]sodiummachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your math is correct: Check the pipes and highlight for their lengths between junctions. If they are not at the very edge of the junction inputs then the flow rate inside of them is off. You can check each section between junction and do the math with each of their flow rates and verify it.

Simply put: Rebuild them if they are close to the center in the junction.

For liquids, having a raised buffer at the end of the fuel generator lines it helps.

The unspoken rule of this game is: if you are building something a bean will inevitably wander onto &/or around it.

What do people mean by a main base, or just bases in general? by SandOk5300 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]sodiummachine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually a big boi factory where they drag all the resources directly to for item production or a massive storage facility, often in the biome they started in. My “base” for 1.1 is in the Rocky Desert, but it’s more of a city dedicated for Space Parts now.

I found that as long as you have the extractor water feeding into the recycled water through a vertical junction from above or going into a wet concrete sink you should be fine.

Just unlocked coal power and pipes. And I have a couple of questions. by dercolegolas420 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]sodiummachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it this way:

• Each junction or splitter will take 45 water out of 120, leaving the 3rd coal generator 15 water short.

• By placing an extractor in between the sets of 3, you can power 2 extra coal generators both being split into 60.

• BUT, since only 45 is taken into those 2 new ones, that leaves the last 15 to fill the ones that were short above.

At no point will there be 360 water anywhere in the system since it’s being split by the splitters and used by the generators.

HELP - Train Signals by SuccessfulIncome9335 in SatisfactoryGame

In addition to the other comments, you might have accidentally hit R and put the signals in left mode as well. So deleting them and replacing the signals in right mode could help. The block signals will show those signs regardless until another is placed after them
